  • 2009-08-09 17:33:31 Ok pasting a 1:10 minute long clip with hardly editing into the timeline would be effective and fitting for this song passage, but this would be really embarassing for me as an editor. I know this scene fits and it sounds stupid, but... this goes against my pride as amv editor xD

    If I run out of time (contest deadline), I might do it.

    I read that it uses the grapic card (Nvida 8 and higher with a quite new driver) for h.264 encoding and decoding. Let's see which preformance I will get, because I hardly use graphic card the hard way when I edit etc.

    I also read about this new h.264 algorythm. It's based on a different theory than the usual quantizier stuff. It focuses on the things you actual see and recognize as viewer when you watch a video. It's said that it is 30% more efficient than the usal algorythm at the same bitrate. Optical (!) more efficient.

    However I didn't found a free avaible application to test it. *sigh* Let's wait -.- Maybe I can use it when I finish my new video at the end of August? It would be cool. 
  • 2009-07-29 20:08:57 Did somebody say that making an AMV is easy? Maybe, but makeing a good one can be definatly a hard job. When I'm done with this project without a good overwork in details this will only be decent. Which isn't bad, because the song/footage combination is very limiting at some parts. I can be pleased with the current progress.
