No wait! I was too fast when writing the last entry. Hahahaha... You amazon.de guys are morons! Blargh.
They say that they have "trouble to get my item Halo 3: ODST... blah blah blah", that they have no delivery date yet and if I'm stillinteressted in buying this item...
You're really a bunch of idiots. Of course I want it. I want it NOW. It would be even acceptable if they would just have shipped it today.
"We're not sure if this item is still avaible"
What's hard about buying the PEGI-version of the game, send it to me and than send me the unlock-codes for the promised preorder stuff? NOTHING!
If they can't buy it for 45 bucks than it's their problem. Not mine. I preordered it for that money and they granted me the game for this price. So come on and get me it!

Halo 3: ODST release today. Weeeeee
2009-09-22 04:17:54
eeeeee.... no wait! I preordered it and I don't have it in my bloody hands today. Why did they start to ship it today? I preordered it damn it!
I preordered it because:
-I get an uncut version easily
-I get it for 45 bucks
-I would get Srgt. Johnson in Firefight Mode
-I get a Xbox dashboard theme
If I wouldn't get it much cheapier I wouldn't care about preordering it. I also could walk into a shop and just buy it instead of preordering. Anoooooying!

... and 2 hours later I've edited a full 1:25 amv. Great! A good start for an experimental project which would consist of more parts. Just the effects are missing (although they will be a lot of work) and the end of the video isn't great. It needs some audio editing and maybe some ambient background sounds for the fade out, but that's pretty much it.
However I have the basic editing and that's cool :)

"Photorealistic" effects - Tryout
2009-09-16 13:03:55
It's fun to think about an amv before you actually see the anime. heh It works. Somehow. At least it's good for training design and other stuff.
Right now I try to make effects with "hardware". Pencils, my printer and my scanner. It's interessting because it gives your design a touch of creativity and it's exciting.
Right now I try to create my own noise effects. Well how do I do that? I scan an A3 sheet of black paper. I repositionate it all the time and take another one for different scans. Than I hopefully have 30 scans of a paper which looks noisy (with a lot of small dots) and some minor bows.
Than I pack it into an AE composition and animate it. I think 1 image per frame will be fine, but well let's see. Afterwards comes some brightness and contrast adjustments and tada: I have my own noise layer!
Well so much to the theory let's see how it will work. At least I will have some nice textures which I might share on deviantart.
Than I would like to print 25 frames of a scene and rescann it. Why would I want to do that? Well my printer is older than 10 years which means that he makes a lot of malfunctions. I'm curious how it would look like if I animate it?
