"All those deathnote amvs have so many close up scenes! Buhuhuuu..."
Deathnote has a lot of close up scenes? Okay I can't tell, but man... Berserk has a lot of close up scenes. I hope I can recycle them somehow. Like... in form of random overlays. Mhm that should work!
Eh... Actually I wanted to write why I'm no fan of Halloween, but whatever. Next time.

I think after nearly 1 year I think I'm ready to revisit an amv idea of mine which I began 1.5 years ago, but failed due to frustration in editing it. There are several keys on editing this amv which never seams to be simple at all:
-First: Editing
After the amv Eve - The Perfect Human, I was not sure on how to handle the song without falling back into the odd, brainless syncschema of Different Realities. I clearly didn't want to sync like this again. So my vision about how tight the sync should be was never clear.
After the project Being A Superstar I can imagine much more on how to edit to this song. It shall go much more into this direction which seams to be a good balance between external sync, inner sync, flow and atmosphere.
-Second: Frustration handling
I seam to have big problems with this, but I hopefully got better. Eh... yeah D=
-Third: Fx
I still don't know on how to make the cut between sync and effects with making a good flow in this video. This will be the biggest challenge beside general editing and scene collection. I also improved in using useful effects. wheeee
Still... I think I'll have to redo a lot of stuff until I find a good mixture.
-Fourth: better hardware
Makes things go smoother. heh
and in the end of the post I applaud to Narutoball for his last journal entry.

So... As student (film) of this private college I get a Mac book. Fine! This college costs quite a lot of money, but I'm really surprised that 10 out of 18 people haven't paid yet. We won't get our Mac Books before everybody paied.
It's almost 3 weeks since the college started and we even have the possibility to pay in installments. It's nice that they didn't kicked the non-payers yet, because we should have paied BEFORE the college started. Well... ok.
What's good about it? Tomorrow is deadline. Everybody who didn't paied will get kicked and they will order our Mac Books on Monday (I hope the girls don't get kicked or the people I talk more frequently!). Yesterday Apple released the new Mac Books. So... we will get the NEW Mac Books! Not the "old". The new! HA!
That means (if I got it correctly):
-250GB harddisc instead of 120GB
great. I don't need to expand my harddisc capacities for now. I still don't know how to manage a new storage. I have to external drives in NTFS. I would need HFS+ or FAT32. FAT 32 is not an option, because files will get bigger than 4GB and HFS+ ? Would screw my windows compatibility. I really might get a new external drive for my Mac in HFS+.
-2GB DDR3 instead of 2GB DDR2
Fine. DDR3 is great. I just need two new 2GB DDR3 units for upgrading.
-No Firewire?
That hurts. I need an adapter or something that converts FireWire to USB 2.0. *sigh* Maybe they buy the college will still buy the old books due to the FireWire port >_>
-2.22 Ghz Core Duo instead of 2.0Ghz
-Nvidia 9400M with 256 DDR3 instead of DDR2
-Snow Leopard OS instead of the Leopard OS
-multitouch trackpad made out of glas!
Aha... right... whatever makes that noteable different to the old trackpad. I have no idea what the old one was capable of.
yayzzzzz =D I can't wait for that thingy to arrive! I'm curious if even my Nintendo Game Cube and PS2-emulators will work faster on it oO
Let's see. My windows laptop is hard competition with Windows 7 x64 and DirectX10/11!
The changes in the different modells are qutie confusing and sometimes not understandable. Have a look at them (note: the newest Mac Book isn't in the list yet!):

I saw the chance and used it. HA! =)
There is a workshop on a smaller local convention with around 36 participants. This workshop is for amv-beginners. I just contacted the coordinator if she could make a bit advertisment for "my" (1) amv contest next summer and I got a positive answer. Muhahaha... even more entrants for me! Take that Chang! (2) =P
(1)
It's not really my contest. I'm just the coordinator for the amv contest of the MACOnvention next summer. I'm excited about it. It's my first contest and therfor my little baby =D
(2)
Chang is the coordinator of the bigger contest at the AniNite. There are two contest here in Austria: Mine and "his". Both contest take only fresh premiered video so most editors don't have the time to submit something for both contests. Actually Chang and me are friends and I'm just kidding. I bet he is happy to have less videos. Seriously... Do you want to watch 50 amvs in one row at a convention? Yes this also includes the crappy ones too... and do you want to be the mean guy who says: No we won't show your amv because it's crap. I don't think so.
