JOURNAL: Bauzi (Bernd Schäffer)

  • Oh I forgot the song of the moment! 2009-11-14 04:43:50 For me the internet is a place to get people with the same interest. In my area there are hardly any anime films or something like that. Ok I'm far away of being a cosplay type of guy or a mainstream Shonen, but I do like it. Also I'm a bit different to what people are used to. Not really different in sort of dressing. I'm different in thinking about stuff. People often don't get me or can't manage to think outside their own box and that's really sad.

I have quite a lot real life friends that I meet at least weekly, but they are "normal". I like them, but you really can't talk with them about anime. You can talk with some of them about games xD My anime/game friends are at least 100km or even 250km away from me. Most of the time I meet them on events of the anime/manga/japanese club I'm in.

What does this have to do with a song of the moment for my last journal entry?

    Rabbit Junk - February War
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af11qFylUww

A few lyrics lines from the chours always come to my mind:
Thank you god for making me an alien. Thank you god for making me alright!

I would like to sit down next to Kariudo and Chiii with popcorn and watch the jorunal drama show, but I guess that can't really happen. I might be already part of the show oO!
  • What's your story? 2009-11-13 19:06:12 This isn't meant to offend somebody on the internet. If you don't feel offended: Fine. If you feel offended: Well think about it. There might be a true core in this whole post and maybe you're a part of it. Eitherway: I don't want to pick on anybody on particular.

Cheez... I really have the feeling that you always have to write a small disclaimer first before writing critismn on something. Okay this time: Internet people.

Internet is the place for the scum of the world no one else wanted. It's that easy. Okay more and more "normal" (god I hate that word) people come around. Not only because of facebook and the daily growing influence of internet on our lifes. However the some of the scum of the earth lies in the internet.

Think about it. Think about the last time you played a game online. Imagine all the idiot morons and bad sportmanships. Imagine the last person who called you a fucking noob because of loseing. Yeah that's one type of low life on the net. I bet they are bad to you, because they're treated the same way in real life. It's like the food chain. They always need something beneath them to pick on, because someone higher picks on them.

Elitism. People who take something to serious. Let's skip this. I could often consider myself into this area, but it got way better lately.

The pseudo intelectuals. People who just are pseudos. Rebels, intelectuals or pseudo-cool. There is a lot of "pseudo" goind on on the internet. There is a reason why people play Second Life.

Trolling and stuff. People who just like to piss of others. That's a really really bad habbit.

I often come to the conclusion that we all are just screwing each others online life sometimes, but yeah there are always the good times too.

    +++++

However there is always a reason why people are on the internet. There is always a story behind them. Something fucked up in there life that drives them online. Like someone is overweight or has a illness or is treated bad in school. There is always something. Heck... I think my story is even too normal and usal to tell xD Right now I have a different story, but I keep on playing games and browseing the internet, trying to forget and ignore my broken heart.

Anyway I thought about it when I browsed threw a different forum and there were so many posts from different people which just showed the issues of some of them. I also read one by accident from one of my friends from real life. I was quite surprised, but I knew before that almost everybody on the net has it's issues.

There was also this anime guy that I met in real life who was so extroverted that I just knew that something was seriously wrong in his life. There was so much fake in his expressions. Not really something unnatural, but something that he tried to hide.

    So what's your story?

Godix made a fine decession with quiting IRC. I don't want to say that you all should do it, but you can overdo your time online. There is a reason why I'm hardly on messangers anymore. I don't want to spend too much time with almost anonym nicknames. Don't take it personal I still like you all. I just want to spend more time with people that I actually meet in real life too.
  • Announcing Posters - The annoying truth 2009-11-11 13:47:18 Announcing posters in your announcement threads are fine, as long as you don't misslead me as viewer and keep up the high expectations.

    What do I exactly mean?

Some people come up with really really beautiful posters. Awesome, but than you download the video and it's nothing like the visual style of the poster or hasn't this nice effects in it, but the crappy ones.

People... you have talent if you make such beautiful posters for your threads, why don't you port your design talent into After Effects? Hell After Effects is often like a Photoshop version for videos.

I really dislike posters that annoy me. That's why I take frames from my announced amv as "poster" or make something with equal visual style. Yeah I really don't want to annoy a viewer with wrong expectations about the vid. That's only fair.
