lol you will cost the new system millions ;D
I think you all are really lucky now. From all I've seen and heard from your current system: It's horrible crap. Yes I'm serious about this.

RE: Talent @littleAtari and blabber
2010-03-19 09:01:01
This is interesting.
I do believe in talent. There just are people who get a way better start in something and are progressing faster. However I do believe that you can compensate most of the talent part with time, hard work, experience and effort, but there are limits. Those limits lie in my eyes behind the proffessional bar.
It's also about how to solve a problem. So I wanted to create organic snow effects. There were a couple of things in my mind:
-After Effects effects. Yes there were some, but they didn't looked organic.
-Emitters and particles.
-Looking on the internet for what some other people did and somebody suggested Apple Motion for organic looking snow.
Now it was time to go through the possibilities with time and work.
That's not a good example actually. You can disassamble a problem in many small one and work on each of them until you solved the big one. I learned a lot of good stuff in my programmer courses. About object orientated thinking and disassambleing problems. I don't like to program a lot anymore, but it definatly helps.
Most of the time we see the results and not the effort and learning behind it and it can really decourage you. It often happend to me.
I also dislike the "omg... such a hard test! No time to learn"-attitude that some of my class mates have. The test was already easy enough. All you had to do was to invest time and pay attention in the chourses. If you didn't you were simply lazy. I disrespect this attitude.
At least say that you didn't invested too much time, but don't blame the test.
I also know that this journal could have less typos, but you know what? I'm just too lazy to look some words up on the dictionary.

I think my first IC turned out really good. I'll upload it later on YT and this site after judging is done.
I would like to recommend you a program. It's the only font viewer that I tested so far, but I think it gives a nice workflow improvement for searching for fitting fonts. It will help me a lot with creating my new logo style for [LGS]. It's the Opcion Fontviewer and it's free to use and multiplattform.

So I tested Perfect Dark on the 360 today...
2010-03-17 14:03:20
...and boy... wasn't Half Life released many years before this game? So game developers should finally know how good shooter games look like? To be fair:
Maybe the test level just sucks ass. There are no special weapons to set it apart from regular FPS of it's time and the level design is plain boring.
I looked forward to this release, because I liked Perfect Dark Zero and never played Perfect Dark on the N64 before. However this testlevel really can't convince me to buy this game.
Some games shouldn't have HD ports I guess. Why for? On the other hand some of them work pretty well. I also play Banjoo Kazooie on my 360 right now and I have to say that this game still works really good and aged well. Altough it sucks that they didn't improved the camera and swiming system, but this game is still great and the new HD graphics do look good.

Man.. my studio mates are such lazy bastards. So I want to move somebody to edit some shit again, but he's demotivated with all the technical stuff. I decided to help him and just make all the DVD ripping for him xD
Hey that's alright. A friend helps another friend and [LGS] was founded with the principles of hardware, software and knowledge shareing. That's now exactly what we are.
Wait... I probably should borrow from him his Paranoia Agent DVDs =O
