Today it is my proud duty to promote and pimp my student Kenka_Wolf with her first amv:

(won first place at the AniNite06 AMV contest / category: beginner)
It is her first amv she made without help. I only hepled with the x264 encode and I study her in technical things and other stuff. It is amazing how much effort she put in for her first amv and also it was only made in 3 days.
In my eyes she is a pure natural amv talent.
... yes it is FFAC, but a pretty good one with sweet timing, atmosphere and no effects.

The amv looks good, needs a bit more quality but it is fine. I´m proud of her and I´m happy that she gives her knowledge (that she got from me ^^' ) to her friends too.
That´s what I like.
Will start a project with Kiv (The Patient) for the AniNite. We both have some nice ideas to realize. The Nite 07 will be fun ^^

Finally after 3 days we managed to output a damn sweet mp4. So tommorow I´ll have a look at it and see if we need a higher crf rate, but overall: Everything worked fine!
After thousands of problems with this damn DV Avi file.

This project I was talking about is fuckin´ strange for me. That must be the most psycho thing I´ve ever made. I´m happy that there come the more normal editing parts with cool songs and things. That was just freakin´ today, but fits to the whole thing. -

Meh... my "Golden Age of Grotesque" has to many scratches for playback. So what should I do?
Right! Borrow the record of a friend and the clear fine .wavs came back on my harddrive, where they should be.
This record is pretty inspirating and thought about to make much more out of my Signs of Darkness and Grief MEP-part.
What I have to pay attention is that the whole thing doesn´t seam to be a clone of "Dead to the World", because it´s not. The plans are in my head and would like to come out.
It could turn out into something pretty nice.
Also started to work on a mix for a trailer project with (currently) 3 songs in it, original sounds of the anime and additional sound effects. Goal is to make something equal or better to a commerical trailer, but it should definatly still count as an amv.
Meh... Maybe I set the bar to high and phantasie comes up again? At least have a try.

Encoding sucks and is a pain in the ass right now... Hope that she can set up an x264 with my instructions. Should be easy possible in my eyes.
