Just for the future:
If anybody says that my solo project is a copy of Spoil or something, than Iīll kill that person. I just say it because I read such comments quite often in the last days in various amv threads.
To clarify:
-I started right after I finished Different Realities and that was at the beginning of October with this project and there was no Spoil at all. This includes the major design of effects. Ok, got it?
-I do have minor 3D camera scenes in it. One short (well itīs not. Itīs more couple of rotoscope scenes in 3D room to fit into a scene... and maybe one for the credits.)
Just because it goes into the direction of grunge style or will be grunge style doesnīt mean that itīs a copy at all.
god... I can imagine all these retard comments even now. This project will have nothing to do with Spoil at all.
Why am I writeing this shit? Maybe because I have tons of work and even more week next week and I have to throw away some stress? Maybe!? >_< Gahhhhhh..... -

Hey cool. I kinda miss my current project. Oh well I finish my Gateway track today and have enough time for it. I guess.
Mhm I have some new scenes to replace some odd old ones. Nice.
I never thought that I would miss this bastard =/
Itīs about time to finish a solo project! A release on my 21st birthday would be kinda cool. However I donīt feel that I should talk about aproximatly finishing dates.

"Run, Fatboy, Run" is Simon Peggīs new movie. I watched it on friday at the cinema and itīs pure pownage. There is heart, there is a story, there are lots of lovely charackters and there are tons of good jokes.
So if you watched "Shaun of the Dead" or "Hot Fuzz", youīll HAVE to watch this movie too!
What it is about?
A looser wants to run a marathon in London to gain his ex back. I thought that it sounds a bit too simpel, but the story has details and is very well told.

Ugh. I get more and more sick of the everyday amv. Most of the stuff I saw in months was just overynced, full of crossfades and mindless 0815 effects. What the hell?
I really miss quality. You know what I mean? Stuff that can entertain you without beeing overloaded with shit. Like Magic Pad or Spukhafte Fernwirkung.
If you really want to use effects so why donīt you do it the right way? I could say the same thing for syncing. Jannis come on and complete another vid! Project Relic is just awesome .-,
Music in amvs... hell I really miss vids with a solid editing and music I really dig. Meh... -
Demoreel in 30 minutes? - The full story

Ok. Iīm back. Here is the long story:
Good. So I was today out for a job. The usual stuff. I come along to the ... and thatīs it. Itīs a festival at the weekends for kids at our local castle. Iīm part of it for 4 years I guess. Itīs my summer job.
Alright one of the guys at the asked:
"So youīre busy at those weekends? What do you do at the WEs?"
"Iīm part of a video contest."
...
and yeah so we got into a talk what I actually edit. The second guy, Gerd asked me if I could do something like a documentation for the festival? I said yes and that I could bring along some demo vids if he wants to.
Alright. Thatīs the beginning. Whoīs Gerd? Heīs an audio expert and is used to compose music and is one of the higher persons at our regional national radio. He showed a lot of interest to my knowledge.
I drove home and had to make a demoreel DVD in 30 minutes. Great... I mean: Yeah he isnīt an editor, but he still at the professional sector so I had to show professionality too.
On my dvd I put all my latest video releases (2006+) and some demo pics and clips.
I renamed all the videos that he can see my improvements. I mean itīs not that I dislike my older videos, but they have flaws in editing and video quality. In the end he should see that Iīm good at editing and compression.
When I came back I gave him my DVD and showed him one vid. wich vid should I show him? Exactly! I show him "Seen It". Why "Seen it"? Because itīs a trailer for something and is more for a bigger general audience. He watched it from my usb-stick. Mhm... it lagged a bit, but yeah he knows that this is natural and he seams to like it. His final question: "So you edited the audio too?" "Yeah I cut the audio and added sound effects by myself too."
Nice. There was still interest.
I donīt know if he really got something to do for me. Gerd could need me as cutter/effects man for the documentation and maybe for the management. I doubt that he will give me the camera, because Iīm a noob at it. This documentation is something where money lies behind. I would give a noob a chance at such more important stuff. Yeah Gerd knows people at the national tv station so he could easly get a camera man. However... Why shouldnīt he take a cheap young cutter like me? I donīt think that this imagination is that far away from really.
Letīs sit back and wait, I guess. I want that job! It would be so awesome for the summer. My first real work at the professional sector. Wow. Just awesome. I think that it will give me better connections to Gerd anyway. Next year Iīll finish college. I donīt want to stuck on technical programming. Iīm not that much into it. After college I would like to try to get intership at the regional national tv station. The first steps might be already set.
On the other hand I could still hire on at the video production firm of one of my friends. *phew* a lot of choices, but letīs finish college to have a better base for future things.
