I know how to add....really, I do.

I don't get 78s on algebra exams. I don't get 78s on any exams for that matter. What the hell happened here. I know exactly what happened. I went to class Friday, and breezed through then exam in 15 minutes, and didn't go back to make sure I didn't make any stupid mistakes. I just turned it in and left confident knowing that I had aced it. I was sure surprised to see that 78 when it was returned today. I didn't get 78s when I didn't know how to do this stuff. How can I take a class, and pass it with like a 96 or so, then have to retake it and get a 78 on the first exam. That's just not right. Damnit man, I think this has ruined my whole day. Japanese class couldn't even bring me up, and know Art sure isn't. At least I'm not going to skip it today. I'm going to hold my pocket knife open, and prick myself whenever I'm about to fall asleep. I can't stay awake in there in other way......
Damn 78....
Damn stupid mistakes. I know 7-4 is 3. So why the hell did I write -3 on my exam. I also know 16+8 is 24, so why they hell did I put 8 on my exam. Those are just 2 of the stupid mistakes I made...
It looks real good being a computer science major, making 78s on algebra exams......

What the hell did I just watch????
I must say, Miyuki-chan was the wierdest 30 minutes of my life. There was no "real" plot to speak of. The disk is made up of two 15 minute "shows". One song plays for the entire 15 minutes, while Miyuki is walking around with strange "women" trying to get her naked. I must say though, it was the fastest 30 minutes of my life as well. I sat down to watch, next thing I know it's over. I considered watching again to make sure I didn't fall asleep and just wake up at the end or something. The whole show was like one strange dream. Was it worth the $12? I say yes, if only for the one scene on Humpty Dumpty's chess board, when that one lady pawn walks over and smacks the other pawn, and her clothes dissolve. I almost fell off the couch laughing so hard. Then the bishop walked over, and beat the hell out of that knight. That little 2 minute section had to be one of the funniest things I ever seen. It goes by so fast that you could watch it multiple times, which I believe I will. The dialouge is also very basic, and with only the little bit of japanese that I have had, I could just about watch this unsubbed. Half of the dialouge is Miyuki introducing herself to the "women" she encounters, and them saying how "kawaii" she is. I know all those words needed to carry on conversations like that. The disc however isn't correct. The box says it has english and japanese dialouge, and english subtitles. On my DVD player, the only audio track is "english" but it's all in japanese. The japanese track is just called "english" it seems. Or perhaps my disk was just screwed up. It didn't list any english voice actors in the credits though...
All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase, although I probably would have been more pleased had put out the extra $16 and got Excel Saga like I planned on. Then I wouldn't have any money left over though. Miyuki-chan was worth the $12....

DD in Wonderland...
2002-09-15 19:44:31
Well now, our football team sure did get there asses kicked last night. 52-21... I can't say I wasn't expecting though. Like we were going to beat Texas... I knew we were going to lose, but I didn't think it would be quite so bad...
On the brightside, I bought Miyuki-chan in Wonderland during work today. I just can't pass up a $12 anime from Suncoast. It would go against all I stand for. Plus, I haven't bought any anime since the Eva boxset a while back. I was begining to have to withdrawal symptoms. I contained them this long by watching a little Eva mostly everynight. I couldn't contain them anymore. The DVD has a cool little paper doll that you can print out. It sucks having to cut out all the little clothes, but at least I'll look very manly at school tomorrow dressing my little paper Miyuki in different clothes during class...^_^
I'm near the center of the first chorus on "Shinkakuruu". About 1:45 or so into. The song is 4:45. The Nekocon deadline is the Friday after next Friday, but I think I can finish the vid this week. I work tomorrow night, and Friday night. If I continue to edit during my breaks at school, then have an all day edit-a-thon Saturday, I should finish it. That would give me a few days to try different export settings before I send it off. I hoping that's how everything is going to play out...
So, I'm going to go spend 20 minutes on my Japanese homework before the Simpsons. I have to write some sentences about myself, and a classmate on the first sheet. And answer some questions negativly on the second. One of that questions was are you American. While the anser would have been yes, she wants us to answer all the questions negativly. I've did the senteces about myself, and the first 4 questions. Not much more left...

Now that I'm done sitting through the most boring computer lecture anyone will ever give, I can get down to some good old fashioned editting. The comp 14 lecture today was on "proper" code formatting, and "proper" use of white space. In the section about comments, it said to be direct, and use short comments. Don't try to be humorus(sp?). There goes my last program. I filled it full of "humorus" comments, and they were all big block comments too, something else you should aviod doing. Oh well....
I never did get around to redoing the part of my vid that I lost when Premiere crashed last night, so I'm going to get a little editting done in the hour and a half I have before japanese class starts....
It just feels so wierd editting in the library, where anyone could easily be looking over my shoulder right now. It makes you kind of paranoid....
