  • Disappointed...... 2002-04-15 20:12:41 You know, I disagree with xeno's statements over the past few days, but what I find even more disturbing is the fact that some people on this site have taken to calling him names, and such. How childish is that, honestly? I disagree, but I don't do such petty things as name calling to get my point across. I was just reading a post a few seconds ago in the off topic forum that I thought was just just ridicolous(??). What's the point? Phade as cleared the whole subject up. Xeno made a statement, and he stuck to it. No matter how much you disagree, just get over it. Calling him names is going to change anything. And xeno, if you read this, I commend you for keeping your replies to these childish remarks responsible. All these people that are like a bunch of Clouddbzs with there childish actions.......

    This isn't really a rant, just an opinion of mine. I state my opinions without resorting to petty, childish ways. Maybe some people on this site should learn to do the same.......

  • Hmmmmmm........ 2002-04-15 08:17:51 Well, my ranting last night really got alot off my chest. Thank GOD for this journal. I would probably still be here with all that mess going through my head had I not ranted my heart out....
    Anyway, after all the discussion that has been going on I have decided to not go ahead with my La Blue Girl video...<frowns>. Instead I will go ahead and jump straight onto my BAV video, unless something else pops in my head. I want to wait on my BAV until I have finished the series, but I will go ahead and start if I can't get another idea.
    I guess now i'm off to work. If I have any ideas or so, or just feel another ranting coming on, I will post in my journal in about 9 and half hours............

  • It's my turn to rant..... 2002-04-14 19:54:34 I don't see where there is an issue. It wouldn't be right to censor and sexual material. Then you would have to censor all the violent material because someone would then be complaining about it. Eventually we would have a site with nothing but Pokemon videos. Anime in it's nature is violent, and some can be sexual. Some anime may go a bit far, but it's still anime and has just as much right to be used in a video as Pokemon. As long as you, the creator, make it known that the video contains graphic clips, and is not for kids, then it should be find. From that point on the responsibilty falls on the parents of the kid that got the video. They should have been watching him better. And even if the kid did get the video, what's the big deal. It's not going to warp his mind or anything. I saw Akira when I was 9 years old, and have watched violent movies, and sexually explicit movies all my life. I have a collection of about 150 CD's, and half of them have explicit content on them. I bought these back when I was 15, 16 years old, and have been listening to them all my life. The poeple that sold them to me didn't have any problem selling them, even though I was underage, and if anything they made my life better. I was exposed to a new style of music. It helped me to expand my views, instead of being confined to what the gov't thinks is suitable for me. We should not limit our kids' growth. They need to experience the world in it's entirety, not a small portion of the world that the gov't thinks is what they need to experience. I believe that a kid is less likely to commit a violent act if he has been exposed to violence all his life. If you sheild violence from a kid all his life, then at age 15 he starts to see all these violent movies, and violent music it will cause him to overload. He won't know how to deal with it becuase he hasn't been taught that violence is bad. He has spent his life not knowing what violence was so hows he going to know what to make of it. It's the same with sex. You shield a kid from sex his entire life, then he turns 16 and goes out and has sex and gets some girl pregnant, or gets a disease. He wasn't taught what sex is, and how to go about having it becuase his parents would never let him experience it. They hid him from it. This is the entire problem, not being exposed to sex and violence. If you were raised with sex and violence you will understand it by the time it will take effect in your life. I'm not saying just let your kid watch everything, and anything he wants anytime he wants. Just don't shield your kid from sex and violence. Let your child expand his mind. He will become more opened minded. My parents have never shielded anything from me. I've been watching anime all my life. I've been listening to "nasty" music, and watching violent movies all my life. I think I turned out pretty good. I'm a 19 year old college student with a 3.82 GPA majoring in Computer Science and the University of North Carolina. I think this proves my point that violence and sex in movies are not responsible for the actions of teenagers. If it was, I would have been in a jail a long time ago.................
    And now my other point...
    I think our american cartoons are worse for kids to see than anime. I did my final speech in Public Speaking on this subject. I compared the opening scene of Crying Freeman to a Roadrunner cartoon. The opening of Crying Freeman shows Freeman shooting a guy in the head. Blood shoots out and he dies. Yeah, its violent, but look at the Road Runner cartoon. It shows a coyote getting blown up, falling of a cliff, getting hit by a truck, and numerus other things. Our american cartoons teach kids that violence is funny, and a big joke. Crying Freeman was serious with it's depiction of violence. It showed a man die. It showed that violence is deadly. Roadrunner showed that if you blow up a coyote he will hold up a funny sign, and entertain you. It doesn't express violence as serious or wrong. It shows it as being funny. It shows that it is funny to commit violent acts, as long as it on an animal. I would love to see what would happen if they remaid the Roadrunner cartoon with two people instead of animals. People everywhere would get all upset saying that it is wrong and violent. Like it wasn't violent to start with. This entire subject irritates me. People can be so egotistical sometimes, and frankly it pisses me off. I agree completely with Aluminums rant on his page from a few days ago dealing with the same subject of animals and humans and the like. I suggest to everyone to read his rant. I couldn't have said it better myself..........

    This may have gotten a little off subject, but once I start I can't stop. I had to get all that off my chest.

    I would have ranted last night when the topic started in the forum, but I was too busy not being corrupted by watching La Blue Girl 6. Yes, over the past 3 nights, I have watched La Blue Girl 4-6, and am still completely right in the head. It's amazing isn't it. As horrible as it is, and it doesn't make me want to go kill anyone, or rape anyone, or do any violent actions to anyone. I guess I was raised right, and now the difference between right and wrong.

  • Guess what i'm doing? Yeah, that's right, i'm waiting for Yu Yu Hakusho to come on. Just like every other Saturday. 2002-04-13 19:39:03 I was just reading over some of my previous entries. They were pretty wierd. I wonder what I was thinking at the time I wrote some of them....^_^

    I've had 614 hits on my journal. I should be at 1000 pretty soon, since my journal tends to get about 30-40 hits a day. I was in the 580's when I posted this morning, now I'm at 614. That's about 30 hits today......

    Anyway, the main reason for this entry is just to mention to everyone that I am bored, and am wasting time until Yu Yu Hakusho comes on. Then SNL comes on, and I get to see Maya Rudolph. I've been waiting all day since I had that dream last night. Maybe she will be in alot of skits tonight. Speaking of Tonight, it's had 334 dls now. 12 reviews to go along with it. Only one was a negative review, but it still scored pretty high. So any of you slackers out there check it out. I don't know how much longer it's going to be up in it's full quality. I got two new videos planned, and I'm not sure how much space Devo is going to let me take up. I don't want to be a space and bandwidth hog on his server, so I might take down Tonight, and my two news up once I finish them. I'm going to start capturing my La Blue Girl footage tomorrow night after work. I hope to have the video finished by the end of the week. It's going to be a short video, probably only about 2:30 or so. I get paid Friday, and will see if I can get the next two BAVs, then I will probably start capturing for my BAV video. It will be my next real project. I hope to have it finished by the end of the month, but with my new full time job, it might take a little longer.....

    So, keep an eye out for my LBG video this week(hopefully). Don't worry, it will be announced in the forum. And keep your fingers crossed on my BAV video in the future..........ƒ±┴

  • How about this one. A cramp, some pain, and Maya Rudolph walk into my dream..... 2002-04-13 08:02:59 I'm glad my leg is hurting so bad i'm considering cutting it off. I was in bed enjoying a nice peaceful morning still half asleep when the worlds most horrible cramp went in my leg. I jumped out of bed as quickly as I could and tried to walk it out, but I couldn't stand flat footed. My heel wouldn't go down. After suffering through immense pain for about 45 secs I finally got my heel down, and the cramp went away. It forgot to take all the pain along with it though. Everytime I take a step, it still hurts.......~_~....
    While we are on the subject of dreaming(we are on that subject right...), I had a very strange dream last night. I was helping some do some kind of drawing or something. I don't remember in detail what it was, but I was drawing something for them. Any I finished it, and to thank me they said I could meet anyone from the Saturday Night Live cast. It turns out that my friends in New York share an apartment with the entire cast of SNL..^_^
    I wish.....anyway, ofcourse I chose to meet Maya Rudolph, and at that time she was the only one that was busy. She could only come meet me for a few seconds. So she came in, kissed me and said thanks for the help and left because she had 100 people on hold on her cell phone..don't ask me how. I just want to know where this dream came from. I'm sure the art part in the beginning is from the fact that now I work in an art store. I watched La Blue Girl 6 last night, so maybe that's where the Maya Rudolph part comes into play. My brain had all of that sex still stored in it, so dreamed up Maya Rudolph coming in an kissing me, I don't know, it's all I can think of.......................
