  • c ya later............................DD 2002-07-16 19:54:13 It is so hilarious in ErMaC's "Go, Speed Go" vid when the lyrics kick back in after the, ummmm, you know, scene. "Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer." It is just awesome. Way to go ErMaC...

xTrunkzX, and Sierra - I will get your reviews up hopefully Sunday. I'm going out of town for the rest of the week after work tomorrow, and since I'm planning on spending the rest of tonight on my new vid, I don't have any other time to write them. So Sunday is the date. Don't worry, I'll try to make these extra long to make it worth the wait. Also hopefully I can get up to 500 usefullness after these two reviews. I'm at 481 right now. I'm catching up.....

And with that said, I'm off to work on my vid. Hopefully I will be able to start this time, instead of sitting there for 10 minutes, with a blank start on my face, then releazing this project is doomed, like that last time....

  • Inspiration my ass!!!! (conclusion) 2002-07-15 19:43:37 I forgot to sign my last entry. I guess I was too anxious to see if my idea had been done. Evidently it hasn't. It must be more original then I thought. So, I ripping the DVD, and song tonight, and maybe will even get the intro laid out. Who says I didn't do anything at work today??? I planned out an intro during my NINE HOUR SHIFT. Hey, I don't mind the extra hour. It's overtime. I got about 10 dollars for that extra hour.....^_^

  • oh well....... 2002-07-14 20:03:14 Well, I've had this comp now for a little over a month, and I just realized it doesn't have a PS2 port. Not that it would really need one, but I was just trying to plug in a PS2 mouse into the S-video out port for like 10 minutes before I decided to look down, and see what the problem was. I just always thought that port was the PS2. I guess I can get rid of that mouse now. USB is better anyway, and I do have those....

I usually just use the touchpad, but I was about to start my new vid, and Premiere is a real pain to work in with a touchpad. That's how I found the lack of a PS2. And speaking of vids, that one is offically cancelled. After sitting there for a few minutes, completely blank I realized that this project was doomed. So that's that. I guess I'm just going to ride out the wave of glory that is "Onyou no Yume" for a while longer....^_^'

Come on inspiration. Where are you when I really need you?????????

  • "... the most magical moment in my life." 2002-07-14 02:02:27 Well, I just did my first XviD encode. I still had the original .avi from "Movin' On" so I encoded it with XviD just to have a chance to fiddle with all the settings and see what happens, before I finish my next vid. It will probably be my first vid not a mpeg. They are so much simpler to work with, plus ErMaC doesn't have a guide to awesome quality VviD encodes..."Movin' On" came out quite nicely though. I must say I could see a clear difference are the edges of the objects. Much less pixelly then when encoded in TMpeg....

Still no editing done to my project. I'm going to meditate like an hour or so everynight, and hopefully during one of the future sessions, I will reach a higher state of enlightenment, and become the next Caldwell....you can't blame me for dreaming....^_^'

What else did I do today? Nothing much, other than meet the woman of my dreams!!!! She bought a porcelian(??) dolphin from my workplace, and was returning it today because the fin was broken. She was an oriental girl, probably around 20. She had a very nice smile through our whole conversation about how fragile these figures are. Then right before she left, we happened to look each other right in the eyes, and I got a shiver down my entire body. It was the "butterflys in the stomach" feeling, except it went down my entire body, head to feet. It was the most magical moment in my life." Then she said bye in the most of cute ways, then walked out. The rest of the day was hell. Everyone at work was making fun of me becuase I was "skipping around like a little fairy" as it was put. I had a smile for the rest of the shift, and was completely full of energy, walking laps around the front of store, completely zoned out....
I really should have said something to her, but I couldn't. After the eye contact I was completely helpless. Frozen in time until she left....

I really hope she comes back in soon. I work all day for the next 4 days, so maybe she will come back......

DD <praying there was something wrong the dolphin I gave her today...^_^>
  • Yes, this is my journal. Thanx for noticing..... 2002-07-12 20:26:46 Well, still no offical editting on my new vid. I have all the footage and audio ripped and ready to go, but nothing placed yet. I've been playing around in Premiere, and got a cool little effect to come together. It's not orignal, so I can't call it my own though. I saw it in Aluminum's Eva video with "Knocking on Heaven's Dorr" by GnR and thought how perfect it would be for the opening scene in my vid. I finally got it to work right, so maybe I'll start editting tonight, atleast the intro part of the vid....

Come on Omni, I don't care if there are glitches. I'm curious about this "Tapestry Illusion" effect you've been talking about. 90% zoom on a b/w background? I'm curious to see how this is going to work. As for "Dancing Stars", that vid is on Devo's FTP I do believe, which isn't working now. I'll get it soon, if I have to get him to send it to me on AIM.....

Silver_moon....already about to release a new vid? Man, you're quick. It's taken you somewhere between 40 and 80 hrs? Don' take it the wrong way, but I find that funny. I mean 80 hrs is two times 40. I might could understand 40-50 hrs. Maybe even 40-60 hrs. But 40-80 is an awful big jump. How about you just compromise and say 60+ hrs. That's a nice reasonable midrange....

Looking foward to the vids Omni, Silver_moon...
