Something is very wrong here!!
2002-08-02 17:06:44
Okay now, i've only been working for about 4 hours, and I already have the first 1:07 of my vid done. Not to mention that I actually like the first minute, and Premiere hasn't crashed or anything. How can this be possible. With only 4 hours, I should have about 25 secs done, not an entire minute. And I sure shouldn't like it yet. I should need to go back and change it about 5 times before it's any good. I should also be cussing and screaming at Premiere for crashing about 4 times by now. There's no way that the first minute can be good in only 4 hours. I must just be blind to it's horribleness right now. If I keep up this rate, this video will only be about a 12 hr project. I haven't had one of those since my horrible Perfect Blue video I did...

"Finally" or "It feels so good..."
2002-08-01 13:45:26
I have gone through the first 4 Eva disc and captured the first half of my footage. I'll go through the final 4 after work tonight, and should be free to do a little editting tomorrow. I should be free all day tomorrow as long as something stupid doesn't come up. My captured footage looks quite good too. I used to use Dazzle and my PS2 to capture from my DVDs. Dazzle always captured in mpeg1 format that way, and it didn't give me any options to change it. When I used the S-Video cable to capture this last bunch, it let me set the format to avi with much less compression. So while the little 15 and 20 secs of clips are all about 50 mb a piece, the quality is superb...
Just think, I could have captured all my footage that way, and my vids would look so much better. So this project is offically underway...
It's good to have a project that I actually feel good about again. My last two that fell apart never really felt quite right to me. It's probably good they feel apart. This one should come out nicely though. This is the best i've felt about any of my projects. Usually going through capturing, I start having doubts. This time I actually got more ideas while capturing. Seeing how I already have all the vocal sections of the song mapped out and know what clips and all to use, this video shouldn't take too long to edit out. The only parts that i'm going to have to really work on are the intro and the 2 solos. My first vid with solos. Hope it's not to hard to work out...

"Budget Crisis" or "The Curse of Eva"
2002-07-31 22:15:26
I'm back home. After being out of town for 3 days, and having some reality checks, I'm ready to go. There's quite a few changes I have to make to get back into control. Mostly is my budget. I'm in a crisis right now, $60 short of making my car payment, not to mention my college loan payment is due, along with a credit card payment. Somewhere along the line I made a BIG mistake. I thought I had plenty of money when I went and bought the Eva boxset. Turns out I was wrong. I was wrong by $60 to be exact, and now I'm going to be late on all my payments because of that. So I'm forcing myself on a VERY strict budget. College starts back in 21 days, and I don't have any savings at all. I got Brian to schedule me a few extra days next week, and hopefully he can do it again the following pay period. As of now, I'm on a no unneccessary spending budget. Nothing but gas, food, and bills. I have to get myself under control because once I start back to college my hours are going to take a huge cut, and I'm not going to have any money left from my checks. So I have to save now while I can....
But on the brighter side of things, I'm ready for my next vid. Of course it's an Eva vid, to go along with the other 647 Eva vids on this site. Hopefully mine will be able to break through the crowd, and at least come close to standing with "Engel" and "Soul of an Angel". I might start capturing tonight, not sure yet. Then I plan on moving full force into F(t)tR. This vid is going to be an excerise in action synching, and hopefully I will pick up a few new techniques along the way. I think after this vid I will be ready to move on to F(t)tR. So the wait is almost over Omni. Probably about 4 months at the most, assuming everything goes as planned.......

>>If you walk that path, you will be deprived for the rest of your life. You have been warned. Trigun is rated third highest on the Top 30 Anime List for a reason.
Yes, it is but you must keep in mind that DBZ is ranked on that list TWICE!!! Escaflowne is also on there, and I did not ever like that series. And Lain is ranked BELOW the first DBZ. How can I trust any list that does that. Not to mention that Perfect Blue isn't even on the list to start with. That list is so full of errors going by my anime standards...
I will be deprived for the rest of my life? Isn't that a bit harsh. I do plan on seeing Trigun, I just don't want to buy another boxset right now, unless ofcourse that boxset is under $100 like the Bubblegum crisis, and Ranma sets. I was looking for more of an OVA kinda of thing. A little short series maybe 3 or 4 DVDs long. Aluminum said Key is a must see. I bought Lain and Battle Athletes based on his rating system, and he hasn't led me down the wrong path yet. Plus, it's only 3 discs long. So Key the Metal Idol is the next series I'm going to get. I guess i'll have to live a deprived life for a little while longer....^_^

I'm reluctant to get Trigun.....
Not really sure why. It just doesn't appeal to me as much as everything else...
