  • 2002-06-12 18:09:41 EK: No, not planning to go to Anime Mid-Atlantic... you're either mistaking me for someone else, or mistaking the name of the con I said I'd probably attend (AXNY). ^_^

Kusoyaro: At this point, I'll go wherever someone wants to hire me - just so long as the place has sufficient civilization.

gambitt: Yeah, InDesign r0xx0r! I've never understood why companies use Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe this, Adobe that-- but QuarkXPress. Hell, I once took a class that required the use of QuarkXPress - I learned how to use the program, then went right back to PageMaker. ^_^ (This was before InDesign 1.0 was released.)
  • I'm not from DC... 2002-06-12 17:32:45 EK: DC area? Uh... I'm a New Yawker. (Or, more specifically, a Lawn Gailander.) ^_^

Though I _would_ *much* rather live around DC... NYC's under an hour away but, y'know, I could use a change of scenery...

On a completely different note, I now possess my first pair of sunglasses with prescription lenses. I'd forgotten how much nicer it is to drive when I'm not squinting. ^_^
  • title intentionally omitted 2002-06-06 16:46:29 The drawings from newyorkshitty.com seem reminiscent of Bill Plympton's work.
  • 2002-05-24 15:22:37 Yeah, the forum does seem to be broken.

BTW, EK, if you read this, that Royksopp song's awesome. Now I have yet another album I need to track down and purchase. ^_^
  • Someone say QuarkXPress? >:-P 2002-04-30 23:30:50 QuarkXPress is EVIL! EVIL, I TELLS YA, EVIL!!!

I've always thought PageMaker wass far more intuitively designed than QuarkXPress...I can't get used to Quark's system of positioning everything based on the top-left corner - I like PageMaker's system of allowing items to be placed based on any midpoint/endpoint.

'Course, InDesign's totally spiffy. ^_^ It's like PageMaker with the some of the better features of QuarkXPress.
