    First off, the situation with your family sucks. I hope your grandfather pulls through well, and even more so, I hope your family does not act the way you think they will if and when it happens.

    It kind of reminds me of an uncle of mine, technically my grandmother's brother. We don't talk much about him anymore, because when my grandfather died, he somehow took sole ownership of the donut factory he owned here in town, and ran the hell away with everything. It wasn't the money itself that had everyone angry, but the fact that he took everything for himself and left nothing for the rest of the family. Grandpa wanted everyone to have equal shares, but the guy took everything for himself. I dunno the details, but that's the gist of it. I personally was too young to care, and I still don't give a crap (I just wish my sister could have known Grandpa more before he died of cancer), but that amount of greed, telling your family, essentially, to fuck off... that just strikes me as sick.

    Now, the other tidbit...

    Don't let things like that keep you from cons! I am sure nothing excites the male amv maker more than the image of a lingere model sitting in front of their 1.6 ghz, 140 GB HD, professional quality set up, ripping dvds and only getting up from her editing to order a pizza and bring him a beer. O.O But give mankind some credit. At cons, everyone is out to have a good time and meet other people for thier minds. It's not like they look like _their_ avatars either ^_~ "

    I NEVER said anything like, "All AMV girls are hawt". I was giving Big Big Truck specifically a compliment. I despise blanket statements, whether pro or con. I feel they are very bad. Which is contradictory, because "All blanket statements are bad" is, itself, a blanket statement, but you know what I mean. 
  • Wow... 2003-05-28 23:33:34 I spent most of today coding my new website. It looks better than the old one. For one thing, the background is lighter. The old siter had a solid black background, and I always thought it gave the site a bit too much of a dark quality. I wanted it to be brighter. I decided for this site to make it a very light gray background. Not white, white hurts my eyes if I stare at it too long, but gray is nice. It's a simple layout, easily navigated, the way I like it. On this one, I used tables to sort everything so it looks nicer and less clumped up.

    I actually enjoy working with tables, they really make the site look better.

    The web comics will go up today, since I wanted to begin last week, then begin their planned schedules. I thought about making the main comic, Werzi, a two-a-week deal, but I decided to keep it once a week because I want to have a schedule that I know I can work with when school starts back up and not have to drop back the comics. I want the output to be as smooth as possible, and not have to juggle everything around once school kicks in. Plus, over summer, I can work on comics and get a very nice log of comics so all I have to do is change the links around. ^_^

    My new website. I haven't been able to get any actual content on it, but I did put up some text promising to finish the construction, and the first installment of Mindless Randomosity.

    Woot.

    I decided not to use the Suicide comic because the art style is different from what I'll be using for MR. MR is going to have a very simplistic style. I may put it up in an extras section, though.

    When it gets fully up and ready, I'll announce t in AAM for whatever reason and re-put a link in my forum sig.

    Woo-hoo.
