    Studies show that creativity is linked to depression. Alcohol is a depressant, known to both cause and increase pre-existing melancholy. If depression spawns creativity, and alcohol spawns depression, then logically, getting drunk will lead to a burst of creative energy.

    What would happen if I were to get smashed, then proceed to edit at will?

    I wonder...

  • About my current forum avatar 2003-06-10 11:56:27 I am so useless and bored. I'm siting in the multimedia shop at th Guard (doing some time this week for some extra cash), and I am BORED!! There's nothing for me to do (I've asked the manager three times already for something to do, and he keeps saing that there's nothing). I've been browsing the forum, reading some web comics, drawing, and playing ith Ilustrator.

    I want Illustrator 10 more than ever now that I've discovered the calligraphy brush. I LOVE this thing!! I was planning to take out a small loan to get some computer equipment and software next semester, but I REALLY want it now!

    I'm shooting for a $900-$1000 loan to get the Adobe Design Package with Illustator, inDesign, and Photoshop 7 ($400), Adobe After Effects ($250, total $650), a second hard drive, something big (probably about $100, makin it $750), and a video card with input/output capabilities (I estimate about $200, making a grand total of $950, $1000 to cover tax an crap).

    I am going to be so po. ;)

    I'm still thinking about whether or not I want to go to AWA. On the one hand, I would get to meet a bunch of people face to face and have a great time. I also signed up for Fluxy's NES project, and it'd be nice to be there for the premiere. DannyWilson offerd to le me share a room with him and some other people, so that'd be sweet.

    Other side of the coin: Is it a good idea to go to two cons so close together with my limited budget? That'd be about $180-$200 for the air fare. I also want the Escaflowne box set, but I do not think I can do both. I dunno. It'll probably depend on how much Otakon runs me, how badly I want Escaflowne compared to how badly I want to go to AWA, and how much I can make over summer. I also need to keep money around to pay my rent.

    Yeah, rent comes first. And books. I may need the boks. (wait... I never read them...)

    I dunno.

    Maybe I shouldn't take out the whole big loan at one pop.

    Bah.

    I'll figure something out.

    I'm gonna post an example later of why I love the calligrapy brush so much. ^^
