When I am finished with the Nameless Video (I no longer want to call it Mindless Action), I definitely want to do a video that focuses on Arshes Nei. I love her character, and looking through her fight with Dark Schneider for action clips has reminded me of how much I want to do an Arshes Nei-centered video. I have no idea what song I want to use with it, I figure I'll know the right song when I hear it, but I definitely feel that a slower song would work best for what I am thinking.
I'll keep it in mind while I am editting my current video.
I love Arshes Nei. She's such a strong character, especially considering how little time there is to develop her (Bastard is a 6-ep OAV, and Nei isn't really even introduced until ep 4.).
I may go out and pick up the Bastard Manga. -

Been working on clips for MA (I don't really like the title Mindless Action anymore, but until I come up with something different, I will still call it that.)
I've been choosing clips for it. I ripped all 6 episodes for Bastard to my HD (80 GB are a very good thing... ^_^) and I've decided to go through the whole thing in DVD2AVI to look for good scenes.
I've also been wanting to do an action-based Bastard! video for awhile now, so it was a natural choice. Originally, I had wanted to use Tier by Rammstein for a Bastard vid, but I couldn't get the visions for it in my mind. The song works well in theory for a focus on Arshes Nei (<<<SPOILERS>>> Tier is about a father and a daughter having a sexual relationship, then she kills him. Arshes Nei was adopted by Dark Schneider and eventually became his lover, then she unwittingly kills him. You can see the similarities. The problem with the song is that it is in German, so unless people speak German, or know what the song is about already, they may not pick up on that. I could use an English version, but Rammstein's English versions [if English Engel is any indication, that is] are inferior to the original German). But, I think it will work with what I am using (Not telling the song. I like to have some surprises... ^_^).

Skid Row turned out to have it's own unique set of problems. Essentially, the song I planned on using, turned out the way I remembered it isn't the way it actually is. So, I probably won't do it. Or, if I do, I am going to have to completely re-think the way I was going to do it.
I am going back to work on Mindless Action, although I have decided to make some changes to how I do that one.
The whole idea of usiong random clips from various series just doesn't set well with me. So, I have decided to focus on just one series.
I was gonna use just Cowboy Bebop, but, c'mon. How many pointless Bebop action vids are there? I decided on a less-used series that I think will work out fairly well.
Although, it will probably still be somewhat random. The focus isn't really on character analysis or telling a story. It's about kicking back and watching a bunch of pretty colors and fast cuts and stuff like that.
I have a feeling someone is going to read this and E-mail me a flame... Bring it.
