Misty, if I let you draw for me, people would complain that the guest artist did a better job than the regular one!!
Wait until I get comic 1 up, you'll see what I mean. The art is visually a bit raw. I picked up some pens for inking that looked good, except they are uni-balls, so I do not have much line-width variety. I may look into a pen that will allow me to vary the line width a bit to make it a tad mkore interesting.
It would help to get the hang of not messing up my lines, as well!!
Oh, well. I may get better as I settle into the characters a bit. Besides, a lot of comics start off rough then get better as the artist draws more and more. Hell, look at It's Walky. When it was Roomies, the beginning art was very rough, but now it's pretty good I think.
Practice makes not-quite-so-sucky, I guess.
But, yeah, Misty, when I get settled in a tad, I'd love to have a guest piece by you! ^_^ -

I am considering starting a web-comic. Not a daily thing, probably just weekly or two days a week. I've wanted to for awhile, but could not come up with any ideas for one. However, reading Fur Will Fly (thanks, Misty) made me think of a character I had created when I was twelve, and who has gone through several revisions since then. I am thinking of making the web comic with her.
I'm thinking of using a blend of human and non-human characters of my own creation. Not elves or trolls ala Elf Life, or anthros a la Sinfest and Fur Will Fly. Aliens. The world I am thinking of making is very similar to our own (no sci-fi), but has aliens living among humans. The main character is one such alien. This main character has been in my head since I was 12, and gone through many, MANY revisions. She was originally a super-hero-type, but I've deicded to use her in a less epic setting.
I am going to try making it with ink. I was considering doing it either inked a la Sinfest, or in pencil a la Megatokyo. I decided on ink because I like the crisp, clear quality of inked comics. I'll have to practice my inking, though. It's been awhile since I inked anything.

Watching the Saikano OP yesterday,. I got the urge to use some of it's techniques in a video. The Saikano OP is very smooth and fluid, with layered imagry, divider lines floating in and out, and text sliding in, then fading away in a soft blur. I love the visuals of the Saikano OP (even though I can't read the french, I am glad they didn't translate it), and if I can find an apporpriately smooth song (probably some kind of slow-to-medium jazz), I'd love to mimic the soft, surrealistic visuals.

Yesterday, I was walking through the park with my bro and his friend, helping them find good spots for a capture the flag game they are doing this weekend. We saw that the pond was frozen over, so, after trying the ice, we walked out onto it. We made it out to the middle, so then tried to get to the other side.
The ice broke under my bro about 5 feet to shore. When I ran over to help him, it broke under me too.
That water was COOOOOOLD!!!
I pushed down the ice (it was up to my shoulders!!) and we both waded to shore and climbed out. He stayed out to walk around the park some more, I went home and changed, since I was going out to visit my grandparents anyway.
Since he stayed outside, he now feels like crap. I only have a mild fever. So mild, I think it may be psychosomatic.
We deserve whatever we get...
It was fun though, almost dying and everything...

I believe I have finished my Oh My Goddess video, which has been titled "Bran-New Oh My Goddess Video". I am going to do a HuffYuv export over the night (whilst I am sleeping) and then watch it for any glitches that need correcting (I have parts with many single-frame clips, and for some reason, when I did preview renders, those had black flashes. But, my preview renders were done with Cinepak, so they suck ass and I don't expect much from it). After fixing any glitches, I will encode and upload tomorrow.
So keep an eye out for it. I am especially proud of my execution in the final segment. It flows very smoothly and is very sweet. IMESHO, that is.
