  • 2003-04-09 21:25:14 I swore I would avoid the org tonight, given that I have a paper to work on for tomorrow and an exam to study for (I have a case of Diet Dew and a bag of chocolate-covered espresso beans next to me right now), but I just had to say this.

    I bought Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness today.

    It is now easily one of my favorite CDs. Go buy it, right now, if you don't have it. A two-CD set for $24.66... that's only $12.33 per disc!!! You can't do better than that without going used!!

    I definitely think Galapogos has video potential, but we'll see...

    I am currently listening to an MP3 I made of it. Exported it from Premiere, and MP3'd it. So, if you catch me on AIM, and I'm in a good mood, and I like you ( ^_^), I can hit you up with a little somethin' somethin...

    There's some clipping during the last segment, but the CD-Rips I am editting with are fine, so that won't be in the actual video (theoretically...). It's just a distortion from the waveform equalization that happened when I MP3d it.

    I could use something to focus on AMV-wise, a goal to strive for rather than bouncing from idea to idea. I think this will be good for me if I can avoid my usual "This sucks, kill it" complex, wherein I decide that the whole video sucks and I delete the PPJ, the AVS's, the AVI's, the WAV's, and any other file extensions you can think of associated with it. ^o^

    The way I mixed it, it kind of sounds like you're cycling radio stations, only with out the static in between (I wasn't intentionally going for that effect, that's just what it makes me think of). I like it. I have a plan of sorts for each section. Here's hoping.

    For those interested, I have named each section. Some are small pieces of video ideas I had but decided against doing for various reasons, but will work for what is essentially a mini-vid, others are songs that I chose for the mix and came up with concepts for on the fly. One of these segments is an idea I've had since last summer but never worked on. Try to guess which one it is. ^_^
