  • Video Stress 2003-04-26 15:06:58 AAAAAAGGGHHHHH!!!

    I'm not really sure what I was thinking with this video... the song I'm using is fine, but the series is driving me insane. There's only one character with any depth, the rest are all one-dimensional and don't have much substance.

    Gggggrrrrrr..... -_-

    It isn't even a very good series... >_<

    Ugh. Maybe when I get my fourth DVD back, it'll give me some ideas. I know there's one part I definitely need the fourth DVD for.

    Very, VERY good movie. Go buy it if you haven't seen it. My only gripe isn't even about the movie itself, but about the domestic authoring (video encoding seems a bit rough [rainbows, wavy distortions] and the subs are innaccurately timed), but the movie itself is most excellent. Go buy it, now.

    I'm gonna watch Secret of Nihm later, and I alsoi have Spirited Away, so I've got some good movies to watch. ^_^

    Now, to download Vlad's CitS AMV, which I've been putting off downloading until I watched the movie.

    I am SOOO glad I hadn't seen any CitS AMVs before watching this movie... Spirited Away, when I watched it, I had several of the scenes already in my head from AMVs, and it was distracting seeing a scene and remembering a video, even more so for Trigun, but Laputa was almost entirely free of that for me (had a bit of it happen, but only two scenes from Vlad's Villianous Destiny, and one from Hsein's Self-Titled, all minor scenes at that, so it was ok), and it felt fantastic not to have some of the best scenes already ruined or sensing when they were coming.

    Enough from me. Go but CiS now.

    This movie increases my desire to make my own animation, or at least write stories and/or screenplays for animation.

    I have an in-the-box Canti action figure... and another one coming, so I can open whichever one's package is in the worse condition and keep the other IN PACKAGE!!!

    The box also advertises a Haruko figure, with Vespa and Rickenbacker!!

    Later, I am buying that Haruko figure. I only hope the guy I bought Canti off of has Haruko as well...

  • Never, NEVER give me cash as a present!! ::cries:: 2003-04-19 18:50:45 I am feeling better now. Headache, but no fever.

    I wish people wouldn't give me cash for Easter, Christmas, etc. I got $90 for Easter. $15 went to gas, $10 went to my laundry card, and roughly $40 went to DVDs.

    I always burn through cash... ::cries::

    Well, my goal is to make it last until I receive my paychecks from this past week of military service, so I'm gonna have to suck it up I suppose.

    I got Castle in the Sky, Secret of Nihm, and an $8 20-min mockumentary on R2-D2 called "R2-D2: Beneath the Dome".

    It looked funny... I havcen't watched it yet, though.

    Welp, I now have $30 for the rest of the month, and once my paycheck comes in, I am going to have some repairs done to my car.

    This is not counting my second checking account, which has roughly $120. I want to not touch that so I have some hotel and airfare money for Otakon. I had to tap it for tuition, but my next few Campus Job paychecks should pump it up a bit. I figure it should be roughly $300 strong once the year is over, if I don't touch it anymore than necessary. Not counting any summer jobs I may find. No one I applied with has gotten back with me yet... I should call them. Course, there is also the paycheck from the second half of last week's exercises, which happens mid-June, so that should help my Otakon fund nicely.

    Now, if only I could avid burning through cash... ::has no self-restraint::

    Ok, I'm gonna do some homework while watching TV, or listening to music.

    ...Oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably BS tonight away and work on homework tomorrow afternoon.
