  • Where are all the good songs? 2006-06-20 02:50:00 We all go through phases from time to time. There's just this time when for some reason or another, we're absolutlely obsessed with a song or even a band. As time goes by, the song gets old and that band's CD makes its way to the bottom of the CD Book. This is something that I think far too many AMV creators fall victim to, which brings me to my question, "Where are all the good songs?" We all know that once that phase passes, we return to the classics like Pink Floyd and AC/DC. I do it myself. In fact, it was just this morning that I came out of a bit of a Tool phase (and don't get me wrong, I still love Tool, there's just not as good as the ROCK 'N ROLL legends that we all know and love) when I returned to some good ol' fashioned Judas Priest, the Gods of Heavy Metal. I thought, "I wonder if there are any decent Judas Priest AMVs." That's when I was disgusted to see that in the entire site, a mere 19 vids are done to Judas Priest songs. Don't even let me get started on the pathetic number of vids done to Led Zeppelin songs. Far too many legendary bands go unappreciated on this website while bands like Linkin Park have enough videos to fill my hard drive ten times over. I vow from this day forth to do my best to keep from making a video to a song just because I want to listen to it 13 times a day for a week. I shall do my best to stick with the classics, and I beg that others follow suit.

    "The waiting is the hardest part. Everyday you get one more card. You take it all in faith; you take it to the heart. The waiting is the hardest part."

    That man was Tom Petty and I now see how true that statement was. I finally finished editing my video, "Dagonball Z Blows Me Away" when I was forced to Wait as my computer rendered all the audio and sound together. Once that was done I had to download an FTP program to upload it (more Waiting). Once that was done, I started uploading the video (even more Waiting). After that, I thought all the Waiting was through, but I was wrong. I noticed that I entered the wrong premiere date, so I had to request that that be changed. I am currently in yet another Waiting period for the error to be fixed.
