  • Crashing before take-off 2003-08-17 20:17:26 OK, new video project in the works, or so I thought. I have been trying to find a more practival way to put DVD on my computer for months now. Dr. Divx left me with nothing, so I went back to using my external video inputs for an analog transfer.

    Videowave is a pain in the ass that only gives me 320 x 240 as a standard screen size. Premire was my next best bet, but the capture on that gave me a grainy picture. Probably because the USB import device I'm using can only support a small screen size. FUK. I'm desparately loking for some type of DVD capture program, when I do, I'm set on the video end.

    Now the music end I have the song I needed, but it's in protected WMA format, and premire won't open the damn thing. SHIT! Now I'm trapped, no video no audio nothing. I'm working on getting the song now, so that shouldn't be a problem any advice on how to get my computer DVD player to start ripping? 
  • "Technofolk" needs compression 2003-07-13 20:08:41 Well, after much delays and a number of different cideo ideas, I finally compiled yet another AMV. It's a short one, even shorter than "Duvet" Which is the show's opening theme. Yet it marks yet another few first for me. It's my first Lain video, it's my first video using adobe premiere, and its the fist video I've made to weigh in at 200 megabytes! Damn. As of right now I'm calling in favors to try to get the video compressed to Mpeg or Divx, but nothing yet, if anyone has any reccomendations on some steps I could take, you'd not only help me get this video out, you'd help re-ignite my videomaking career, which is somewhat less than legendary.     One of my upcoming projects, if I ever get around to any of them will have to be making a video for the Atlanta-based "Rantings of EVA."

    There's too much damn nu-rock going on, and I really feel that an RoE video might be just what the Dr. orderd. The problem is, it's hard to get the ball rolling for a band that hasn't emerged yet. The other problem is of course rounding off college. I guess I'm just writing this because I want more people to check out an underground band I like. Check the site out, and maybe it'll be your kind of thing too.

  • Correction makin' 2002-11-06 12:01:50 I've pulled porcelain girl back in for minor edits, to correct my dislexic level spelling. I'll re-release the file tonite.
