Just got to see the new animation from the creators of Perfect Blue. Millennium Actress. It was sweeeeeeeeet. And I mean that in more then just the "cool" way. It was sweet. Very romantic. Very beautiful. Elegant you might say. Okay you might not. You might say phantasmagoric. But I`ll say "elegant". Phantasmagoric much to musclar a word for me to use.
See it. And if you don`t like it, then I never told you to see it. Remember that. Okay? Great.

So besides that I`m doing fine. Helping some friends with some emotional problems. Which can be hard to do but really it`s better then losing a friend. I had to endure a lot of stress awhile ago and it was hard on a lot of my friends. I saw that I was stressing them out so I tried to grow distant from them but I realized that they appreciated the frustration of having to talk to me about my problems more then thinking I was sitting at home brooding about them and thinking nobody cared. So if anybody out there knows someone who needs help? Don`t try to give them the answers to all of their problems, just let them know that you`re there, that you care (if it`s true, the worst thing you can be to a person in need is insincere) and that no matter what you`ll be there for them.
And the next time flesh-eating chibi mecha-godzillas(godzilli?) crash your friends drinking party, just tell them that it`s okay. These things happen. - Ooooo. It`s Friday and Escaflowne the movie is coming to theaters.... 2002-01-04 18:31:19 Just took a peak at www.apple.com/trailers and saw that there is a english-dub preview for Escaflowne that looks like it might get a theatrical release(if they changed the score for the movie I`ll strangle them with my own intestines, Riki-Oh style). I`ve been bleeding at the ears doing digital editing. I`ve false started at least six or seven videos. Kind of shrugged and went "maybe later" and started something else. Wrote movies reviews this week. Gave a very positive review to Little Otik the heart-warming tale of a couple who mistakes an uprooted stump for a child and soon learn that the uprooted stump likes the taste of human flesh. It`s actually quite good. Seriously. It`s done by the same fellow who did the Faust animation in the 1990s. Also reviewed La Communidad which is a parody of parody-slashers done by the brilliant director who gave us Accion Mutante and finally got to review Shaolin Soccer which is just plain insane and probably the funniest movie I`ve seen all year. Basically imagine what would happen if you took the Dragon Ball Z gang and made them play soccer against an evil team of drug-enhanced super warriors and you got the right idea. Flaming balls without all that nasty itching. Loads of fun. It`s friday night and we all know what that means. It`s time to go sploorge some rainbows. Hope everyone has a decent weekend and manages to get out of the way of the downpour of falling flesh-eating construction workers and the light showers of acid-spitting blue war buddhists.

Well this is my first journal entry. Infected two of my friends with FuriKuri (FLCL) tonight. FLCL is one of the best animes ever. It`s use of surrealism and art is just outstanding. It breaks heads good. Anyways I`ve convinced another person to come to the newt side of the force and join me in creating our own video studio together. I`ve slowed down on using Adobe and decided that maybe for a techno-impaired dweeb like myself perhaps going from 2 VCRS and A Playstation to Adobe Digital Editing was a leap to far for my tiny understanding. So I`ve decided to try Ulead instead. It`s layout is much easier but it lacks a lot of effects. It`s a bare-bones thing. But at least it`s a start in the right direction.
