s'been awhile...stuffs gone on and I can't remember more than half of it...
Well Thanksgiving was decent, cant really complain besides the fact that I became fairly sick...I get sick every damn time I go home...conniving little siblings...My family moved into our new house finally. It has taken 2 years...the whole experience makes me never want to have to deal with having my own house built. The builders have so many things to hold over your head, its really a load of crap.
Schools going well I suppose...although the semester isn't over yet and I'm dreading my 3d modeling/animation and japanese finals. Fencing continues to be one of the only things I look forward to every week. Well that and running the anime society meetings. Our two major events are coming up the next two weekends which means no sleep for me...not an incredibly positive notion considering Im trying to recover from sickness...Doctor couldnt even tell me what I have..."some sort of virus" is my diagnosis and "nothing can help you except rest" was his prescription for me...grand.
Been helping friends of mine with their music videos for the contest I'm holding here on campus. Most of them are newbies, but surprisingly their videos don't seem like typical 'first videos' to me...I think the newbies are becoming better...either that or their learning from the mistakes of people in the past. I mean, yes it helps that they have me around to tell their ideas to and I give them options as to how to get it done...not everybody has that when they start out. But I'm really impressed with some of their work, and Im trying to get them to send into the Katsucon AMV contest this year (that is, if its not too late already).
who is this doing this synthetic type of alphabetic psychadelic funkin?...the question Im sure we all ask ourselves ;-P (sorry...ever since I saw the Vanilla Sky trailer I'm on this huge Chemical Brothers kick) -

A huge thank you to EK who inadvertently helped me out today. She posted a link to www.grinandferret.com and while checking out that site I found the sax/piano duet from Cowboy Bebop that I was so pissed wasn't on any of the albums. Thanks so much EK.

...that'd be nice. **smacks self** Back to reality. The week after midterms and still so much to do. Having contradictions between the work I have to do and hanging out with someone I missed over the weekend...but that in itself is a confusing situation which I will not get into quite yet.
I had forgotten how absolutely beautiful autumn in New England can be...but I got a healthy reminder yesterday when it took me almost 5 hours on what is usually a 2.5 hour trip from New Jersey to my school in upstate NY. God I hate traffic...and I would have been in an incredibly sour mood had it not been for pretty foilage of the Garden State Parkway and the New York Thruway surrounding me at all times...I wanted to get out of my car and take pictures for my 3d modeling and animationg project...shit, no camera...oh well
when will I get to start a new video...dammit, I wish I knew... -

I think Hsien got me addicted to DDR, regardless of the fact that I suck at it.
Anime USA was a blast...I came with 16 people and met all of my con friends at the hotel. We left NY at 230am and arrived at 8-9ish, whereupon I was to go directly to sleep...instead I did all of nothing for a couple hours until I met up with Jason Salce downstairs and started helping him setup for the nonstop two day music video events.
From there on it was a blur of AMVs, moshpits, hilarious parodies, DDR pads, DOA2 ho's, alcohol, cigarettes, amazingly large portions of porn magazines (found on top of the ice machine no less) shoved under Jason and Joe's door ;-), sleeping on the floor...
So now I'm back at college...sick, bored, tired...no cons until February for me...I'll miss my friends, but I need the break...off to my midterms I haven't studied for yet...woot -

Too much work...there always seems to be more work when you have something to look forward to at the end of the week. Japanese paper, Japanese journals, Data Management midterm, 3d model&animation project due, digital photo project due...not to mention the fact that I still need to finalize organizing the anime society's trip to AUSA2001 this weekend...hell, at least I'm not bored...**rolls eyes**
