Nekocon was awesome.
I don't feel like writing it all up, since mooooooo (mike) made a nice huge entry and Kusoyaro has a big'n in his livejournal. I'll just say that besides Kusoyaro and Paizuri, who I had already met, the other guys were AWESOME people. Just so interesting and fun to be around. Mike's a real cool guy, and hilariously overdramatic (Take their lives! and Watch the corpses burrrrrn!). Corbo's just plain friendly and a funny guy. He has some great stories. Bezner is... just unique, I guess you could say. He was way too amused by the squishing sound of pedestrians under his tires in GTA:VC. And man can that guy drink. And Kusoyaro's college buddies were very easy to get along with and I had some good conversations with them about a video idea they have that should rock many-a-sock.
Eh. I returned home to a shitload of piled up schoolwork, but hey, what can ya do. I can always look forward to Katsucon to keep me sane until JACON, which should be great. And hopefully I won't miss Corbo Bash (or Whorebox Bash) at the next Otakon. -

I realized that I do, in fact, suck just as much at normal pool as I do at Yahoo! Pool. Luckily everyone I played with at the... um, pool place... sucked just as much as I did.
SO! Jin-Roh DVD rip = 6 gigs. Jin-Roh DVD rip after Vobsplit = 500 megs. WIN! That kicks so much ass, it was worth the work.
The Hot Water Music CD finally arrived at my door. ::SPOOGE:: I haven't even listened to it yet and I'm spooging already, because I already know it's that good. I heard it a while ago. So Lain should get here soon... It'll be a couple weeks until I get Grave of the Fireflies and Now and Then, Here and There.
For Christmas I'm getting Vanilla Sky, Boogiepop Phantom and GTA: Vice City, with about 150 dollars to spare for whatever I want. I love Christmas. Oh, fuck. I forgot, I have to buy presents too. Oh well. :) -
vobsplit = WIN!

Vobsplit is really saving my ass here. Although, it's taking hours and hours just to slim down the size of one DVD rip, which tells me that doing the same with 30 more DVDs is going to be the biggest trial of patience I've ever been put through. I just have to keep telling myself that it's worth it. I didn't even manage to survive working with ONE 26 episode series before, and now I'm working 3 26 episode series' (maybe 4), a couple movies, and a few 13 episode series'. Now I see why so many people stay away from making various videos.
I hope to God that I don't scrap the video when I finish using vobsplit.
