if you lower fps on an AMV that has allready been rendered once then you take a severe risk of ruining transitions, that is very true. You all so damage motion compensation noticeably. Small fps changes prolly dont matter as much. If a transition was 10 frames long is now 7ish frames long and wont be as potent or nice looking as it was before your change.
Example: You completed your AMV and then rendered it at 29.97 fps in adobe, vegas, or windows movie maker2, or any other programs.
Now you open it with Virtualdub and compress it at 23 fps. You have altered the fps of the first render that has allready been configured nicely for your transitions thus destroying them for the most part.
If your going to increase or lower FPS in an AMV do it on your FIRST RENDER even if its a Huffy or a HUGE file 5GB+... this is so you keep or even increase the quality of your motion and transitions.

Woohoo! I hoped all that writing would pay off for someone! :P I started to think it was worthless for a while. Maybe I should try my hands at turning all that into a guide of some sort for the .org if there isnt one yet.
