Hated the book more than the movie, at least the movie makes Bella seem less of a bitch than she is in the book. Man I just want to punch this girl in the face. She is a total bitch, I wouldn't even want to be her friend with the way she acts.
And how many times can I read "perfection" in one book... Seriously, the guy is given only a color scheme for a description, and the reader is left filling in all the details... and aside from "Adonis" "perfect" "beautiful" etc, you really don't know what this guy looks like. You don't even know how long his hair is supposed to be (unless I missed that detail somehow).
Hell, most of the characters are not given any kind of visual description outside of color schemes... aside from "average" "pretty" "nerdy" or "perfect/gorgeous/Adonis/marble/dazzling/makes me cream my panties".
Hated hated hated it... the book sucked. It was so damn cheesy it made me facepalm and gag half the time. I could forgive the "changes" she made to Vampires, that doesn't bother me as bad as the really horrid pseudo-erotica fanfiction style she has.
If your story is going to be about two people getting together then just stick to that, it's okay not to have a huge "action" climax. The climax can be you know them actually getting together, that's what romance is supposed to be anyways.
Anyways hated it... I can officially say that I'm in the Twilight Hater Club (I'm sure there's an official club out there). And I will not be buying the sequels, nor even attempting to read them. From what I've heard anyways plot wise it only goes down hill anyways, not to mention the first one was almost too much to get through. -
