Then all the philosophers will pay to put a bypass right through it, just to make sure the ultimate question is never known, because then they would be out of jobs..

Besides, if we knew the ultimate question and the ultimate answer at the same time, the universe would pop and reshape itself and come up with a new set of question and answer, because no one is ever meant to know the ultimate answer and question at the same time.
