Banner Banter

Thanks to the people in journals who said they liked my Yotsuba banners.
I am reading, and sorry it took me so long to thank you (even via PM) it's just that I have this little weird quirk where I don't like to give away which banners are mine until they make worthy/unworthy. Which I suppose is a little stupid considering some people can usually tell which ones are mine by the style? or so I'm told.
I blame Ileia for them... she reminded me, in a very indirect way (AKA making a banner of her own) that Yotsuba exists and I was like "ZOMG! I wanna make a Yotsuba banner too!"
Yea I'm lame, it's okay I know it. Mmmm tastes like lemming.
When I saw the other Yotsuba banner (using the same picture as one of mine) in the voting block I went all @_@. It's a good banner and I think it's cute. It just kinda freaked me out that it used the same picture/concept and they were submitted around the same time. (And no, I don't know the person who made that one.) It also made me wonder how my banner would do when I saw my other banners pop up just after it. Anyways, I'm glad both are worthy! :3
On a more general note:
I'm actually rather surprised by how many of my banners have been worthy this year. Anyone who looks at the Top Banner Makers List can tell that my worthy ratio is really low compared to other people on the top of the list. Though looking over my worthy banners you can see how much I've improved over the last 4 years. Of course learning new/better programs has really helped that. (Yay Photoshop!) But refining what I like to see in a banner has also helped.
Anyways I suppose this is long over due, and I haven't said this in a journal entry since like 2005 or something, but, thanks everyone who voted my banners worthy! You all have been doing a great job at weirding me out this year! <3 - I blame Josh 2008-12-10 06:18:13 he's making me want to make a specific video that I have in mind, but that I have no room for on my HD :(
