99 Million Bells!
2005-04-15 21:15:02
Audrey has less than a million bells to go before I reach the 100 million mark and get the mailbox! And then ...
No...
Turnip...
Trading...
EVER!!!!
HA HA HA HA HA! Oh, how I hate turnip trading! In fact I don't even think I'll do it this Sunday. I'm earning this final million by glowy-spot, red rock, bees, and fish. Hopefully it'll rain in Costello in the coming two or three days.
I've been looking for Wisp in Costello every night for about a week, but he's MIA. I wonder if ghosts take vacations...?

Spring has sprung, the grass is riz...
2005-03-31 19:21:41
Ah, spring in the AC world. The animals are happy--the stoned males keep telling me they want to dance the lambada, but they have two left feet and they'd probably end up hurting themselves.
My birthday--and Audrey's--was on March 26th. Oddly, I didn't get one single mail-present from any animal. Static did give me Donkey Kong though, at my door. At the time, I'd had Costello for almost a year--now it's over a year! Yay! Since March 30, 2004. I have a very comprehensive catalog (or catalogue, if you're Across The Pond). I do still need to get some untradeable furniture--mostly Snowman stuff, as I was damned lazy about getting that--and two or three Jingle items, and if I had a GBA to get to the island I'd get the island items too.
Today was raffle day. And for the life of me, I can't remember what the prizes were--but Audrey won second and third place, and Jeremy won all three prizes.
Audrey doesn't have very much longer to go until her bank balance is 100 million bells--then I'm finished with turnip trading FOREVER. I despise turnip trading. I'm not even going to check prices after I hit 100 mil.
Speaking of turnip prices... sigh ... here we go...

The Truth About Puck (A short story.)
2005-03-14 21:06:27
(I wrote this yesterday.)
THE TIME: 5:00 PM
THE DATE: March 13, 2005
THE LOCATION: Oregon, secondary Animal Crossing Town on Mystical Chicken’s Gamecube
Puck the penguin was kicking a hacky-sack into the air with his feet.
“Hey, Puck!” Jeremy, the resident human, called out. “What’s up?”
“I’m so hungry!” Puck squeaked. “You got any food—oh, here, lemme have some of your Cheetos.” Puck grabbed the bag and began stuffing his face full of orange corn sticks.
“You might wanna slow down there,” Jeremy advised.
“No, I’m good,” said Puck with a full mouth. “Here, hold my hacky-sack while I take off my Birkenstocks.” Puck kicked off his sandals and wiggled his webbed feet. “Ahh, that’s better. Hey, I ate all your Cheetos. Sorry, dude. I’m still hungry, though.”
“You want some fruit, or something?” Jeremy said.
“You might could get me a peach.”
“I will, if you stop talking like Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel.”
“Who’s that?”
“Uhhh... never mind.” Jeremy ran down to a D-acre to shake a peach tree. But when he got back to Puck’s house—
“Hey! Wake up!” Jeremy shouted, shaking the purple, ear-flapped-hat-wearing penguin by the shoulders.
“Huzzuh? Don’t touch my stash!”
“Stash of what?”
“Stash? Did I say stash? I meant ... uh ... crash. Yeah, my computer ... uh, crashed, and I don’t want anyone to touch it.” Puck stammered.
“You have a computer?” Jeremy inquired.
“.... No.”
“Here’s your peach.”
“Thanks.” With full mouth. “You wanna come in? I just baked a batch of brownies, and they should be done by now.”
Jeremy sniffed. “Are they special brownies?”
“The only kind I ever make,” smiled Puck. “Come on in, we can watch ‘Half-Baked’ too.” Puck picked up his hacky-sack and put his Birkenstocks back on, then he and Jeremy went back into his house, where they made Rice-a-Roni and laughed at the word “roni” for two hours.
The end.
(Oh, come on, like anyone could not know that Puck is stoned out of his gourd.)

It's Spring!! Woot!
2005-02-26 01:46:28
I logged in today, and --BAM!-- it immediately hit me that THERE WAS NO SNOW. I was like "Holy crap! It's green!" It's "officially" spring in the AC world; Tom Nook was even selling the hot spring shirt--a spring-only clothing item--in Oregon's Nookington's today.
I did manage to get all the igloo items, but I didn't get all the snowman items. Son of a ... well, I guess I'll have to try again next year...
On a VERY high note, PUCK MOVED BACK! Well, he moved into Oregon after Jeremy travelled to Costello to bring Pierce's whatever-he-left back to him, and it's not the same Puck that I had waaaay back when I started the game (the original Puck was one of my O6 in Costello, but got pushed out of my old secondary town, Portland, when I was traveling back and forth in June selling turnips.) I'm planning on sending him a lot of letters so he won't move out, at least not right away. But ... still ... my Puckies is back!
