I've gone through the video again, and have come to the conclusion that the video's about as good as I'm going to get it without investing a lot more time and gaining a lot more experience than I have already. I've put up the video listing, and I'm just waiting on a confirmation from the admins (due to some of the violent content of the video) before I upload it for all to see. I look forward to the comments that I may soon recieve!

My video is nearing perfection!
Well, maybe not perfection, but a darned good time to be sure.
I've made it through about 2/3's of my first pass at the lip synching, and have tightened up some of the more unusual timing issues toward the end of the video (though that still leaves the ones at the beginning). Debating if I want to add in any strange effects (step three), but the more I think about it, the more I think I'll follow the KISS principle, and just go with what I have, tweaking the footage only enough to get down the timing.
So:
1) Lip Synching - 2/3's of the way done on first pass
2) Tighten up timing - 1/4 of trouble areas spot checked
3) Add digital effects - currently not planning on doing (though I'll get opinions on that before premiering the vid).

Progress update

Finished the rough cut of Elfen Engle last night. Now to get to work tightening it up.
To do:
1) Get the lip synching to synch up.
2) Fine tune the timing for the clips and make sure the scene cuts come at the right times (so little to no mouth movement without words)
3) Add in fade effects outside the major cuts to synch up with the song
Already a good video, hopefully by the time I'm done, it will be incredible.

Wow. It's been four years since I last posted here. For those that remember me, I'm glad to be back - for those that don't, good to meet you. ;)
I guess the reason I haven't been posting on my journel is because I simply got fed up with trying to work with Windows Movie Maker - which had the annoying tendency to crash every time I tried to do anything. Literally.
Now, thanks to Stupid_Moogle, I'm back and better than ever (though that wouldn't take much...)! Equipped with Adobe Premiere Elements, I am now working on Elfen Engel - obviously, Elfen Lied to Rammstein's Engel. Current Progress: App. 33% of the way through the rough draft of the video. The introduction, first verse, and ending are all set and waiting for polishing, though I am trying to figure out what I want to use for footage for the rest of the video (a bit of a headache).
I will admit, I am blatantly stealing the combination from Stupid_Moogle, with heavy inspiration from the NGE Engel video put up by Kevin Caldwell (though I use a lot more Fade to Black segments than he did) - and a lot of my own flare.
For those who are interested in seeing the results, the video will be up eventually - within the week if I decide to go with the "rough draft", within the year if I decide to polish to perfection :p

I am currently working (rather spasmatically) on a Fushigi Yuugi video. Or rather, I will be working on about a dozen FY videos as soon as I finish ripping the footage. Sometimes creativity isn't so great...
