JOURNAL: The Dark Shadow (Luke Not Luke)

  • Lack of effort = Lack of progress. 2004-04-01 14:34:50 However, Lack of rest = big-big headache...
Decided to cut back on the website due to me staying up into the night doing HTML. You know it's time to stop when your eyes start to hurt...
On a somewhat lighter note, Spring is here! It's nice and warmish, not to much sun, a good gentle breeze, and on Thursdays (Our games day) it rains like typhoon season... Still, some idiot decided to burn down the sports pavillion, so our games afternoon has been cut short the time it takes to get changed at school, register, walk 1/2 a mile to the field, walk back, get changed, and register again. Adds up to about an hour...
Fire is not a toy. It is an implementation of burning.
  • AAAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKK... 2004-03-30 11:29:44 Well, haven't posted an entry in a while. That is because...My website is almost ready!!! I've learnt a load of random HTML, somehow got a load of material, and I have also finally got round the JavaScript problem.
Problem: Computer does not accept JavaScript as a programming
    language.
    Solution: Do not use JavaScript.
    <Snarls>
Oh, and Amazon.co.uk have decided to elongate the dispatch time for Harvest Moon by 13 days. Great.
  • How to screw everything up and start again. 2004-03-25 14:45:01 I have decided to completely destroy my website and start again. This is because it was rubbish. It may have been made using Dreamweaver MX, but it was still rubbish. Thus, my new one will be relevant. It will be a Hub.
in more exciting news today, my friends and I were attacked by a thug! Fun! We were walking up to games as usual, and as I walked through the door/gate to the games field, it was slammed shut in my face! Owwww.... We were then set upon by a vicious guy toting a hoodie and a bad attitude. ob got slapped and punched, while I got away with nothing. then again, I'm a lot smaller than Rob. i may be tall for my age, but Rob's way over my height. And this guy was taller than him. And Chris and Tom are two of the smallest guys in our year. And if we did anything it would no longer be unprovoked assault. The good thing about the "incident" is that while everyone else was doing 4 laps of cross country training (And that field is HUU-UU-GE...) we were all writing witness statements!!! Which is a lot better than running. Oh, and our Australian Games teacher drove all the way down the field and went into a hand-brake turn with the whole of year 9 following his car. It looked like LOTR gone wrong. Very wrong.

  • ...Why...? 2004-03-24 15:22:26 This is the second time I'm writing this. The Pc froze the first time.
Today was bad. Admittedly, I did hear from our Careers mater that I'll definitely be able to swap Geography for Music, but that's as far as the good news goes. The first period: Music. Had no partner. Worked solo. Second period: Maths. I'd finished last lesson, and spent the rest of the hour long lesson revising. In silence.
Third period: German (My GCSE language choice.) We had a surprise vocab test, other than indicate just how much vital info we've all forgotten since the start of the year, it also included the 'Conditional tense'. The only thing Rob and I know about the conditional tense is that we were told about 3 weeks ago that we are not supposed to know this and shouldn't try to use it. We are now apparently expected to be able to do a worksheet on how the tense is constructed, where it should be used, and verb forms.
Still, as one of my friends pointed out, I shouldn't wonder why this happened today. If the answer isn't instantly recognisable, there is a huge chance that it will never be valid. This is why I cannot understand serial killers, and why some people can't understand why I like anime. They were not able to understand, and I am still not either.
My hayfever's picking up again, it is raining more often.
    Spring is on its way...
  • <Backs prey into a corner, salivating flambouyantly> 2004-03-23 13:46:59 Salivating flambouyantly??? No matter.
Boring day today. Teacher askd us if our science day was good. Vast majority of class said no. Teacher got annoyed, and thus proceeded to hand out a load of 'booster day evaluation forms' to see what exactly was wrong with the format. I had a lot of fun writing out *all* of the faults in the design!
Was lent Sibelius III by a friend, I like it a lot, as it's seriously powerful. It has a lot of voices, and a load of random extras (Subliminal publicism!!!), including some stuff I've never heard of before. 3/4 flats? Double sharps? Meh???
On the topic of music, I've decided to swap Music for Geography. I'm already on Grd V, and am doing the same for theory, so Geography'd be a better choice points-wise. But, I handed in my form a few months ago...
<Has nightmares about angry Irish studies masters, angry music teachers and, for some obscure reason, a particular angry French teacher.

New sport idea: Downhill coach racing!!!
