JOURNAL: The Dark Shadow (Luke Not Luke)

  • Hold on a second...You again!!! 2004-04-20 15:34:24 Hav I already done a journal entry today? I have. Oh well, I did it during the fine hours of the moring, and it's now 8:30, so presumably in America it's around...lunchtime? No matter. I can now proudly say my AMV has had 111 hits. Unfortunately, that does not dissuade the fact that it's terrible. On other fronts, I have decided that the time has come. My website is flailing in the shallows of the duck-pond that is the world wide web. I will spend at least 2 hours tomorrow researching the example code for frames. Then I'll try and teach myself some japanese (Stupid non-curricular subject...) and then maybe revise for my SATs exams. Or maybe not. Seriously. I mean, you get questions like: "What red liquid can be found in the circulatory syatem?". Mouthwash. Ant repellant. Respiration. I really wonder sometimes.
Meanwhile, Tony Blair, the man with "no reverse gear", has made a blatant U-turn. Heh, he has decided to let the public vote whether to join the EU, and elect a "President of Europe". Fool. Having verbally abused our Prime Minister in such a manner, I'm sure that fate will now have one of its little jokes, and force a majority vote for this referrendum. First University top-up fees, now this? I'm too young. I shouldn't be affected by politics...
  • Yes! 100 hits! 100 people snared by enigmatic tendrils of thought! 2004-04-20 03:35:29 Or just 100 very bored people. No matter. In any case, that's what I am. Bored, not 100 people. Why am I writing this anyway? No-one'll wiew it for a long, long time. Over in the US of A, it's early morning. Probably the same in Canada too (My geography is...err...not that good). For you Germans and Italians, the current time should be 9:00-10:00 AM. Over here, in the balmy, sub-tropical regions of East Sussex, it is now 08:37 AM, and my hayfever's playing up. And my dust allergy. And I think I've got a cold as well, although that could just be me.
In car parks, what is that bit where the cars actually drive on?You know, the tar-mac bit with the parking bays on either sides? It's not a road, I can tell that. If anyone knows, please E-mail me and tell me what it is! it's been driving me insane for the last 4 hours! Hey, I said I was bored, didn't I?
How to cure boredom: Send angry time-wasting Emails to your friends, then realise you have to spend another 4 school years with them...
  • Newsflash: Insane evil laughing may improve your athletic ability! 2004-04-19 09:10:13 I think. Anyways, I just had my hair cut. Fun. I don't really know why they call it a barbers, the 2 hairdressers were both female, and a woman was having her hair cut at the same time as me. I have also discovered the "delights" of XML and DHTML. They involve completely modifying your original HTML to very specific guidelines, and then sticking in a load of other stuff, that, as far as I know, doesn't actually make any difference to what the website looks like. So pretty useful then. On other fronmts, I now need to re-install "The Sims" for my sister. I'm not too sure our PC will be able to take this...Actually, if the computer goes bust, we should be able to at least upgrade it a bit. Maybe if I just fill up the hard drive a bit...

Everybody dreams. Be proud of it.
  • Hey! There's no attached wav file and the link doesn't work! <Snarls> 2004-04-18 12:38:56 Hmm...Pretty boring day really. Can't be bothered to continue my 2nd AMV, as the software is really annoying. I have trouble trimming the video 'cos of the inaccurate slider, I have trouble fine-tuning it 'cos it's really jerky, and I can't even add digital effects. So I went on Animal Crossing instead. Sad.
On other fronts, I have set it my target to get into the "Most Opinions" category. Knowing my luck, anyone who reads this review will also attempt this, leaving me way, way down in the 700s...
What is XHTML? And how do you make websites with Navbars(See left) banners(See top) and a decent skin (See dreamweaver 3) without using a script editor?
  • Meanwhile, 6 hours later... 2004-04-17 16:24:33 Sigh...it's a real pity that this site's server is based in the US...
Then again, the time difference must affect Canada, and The rest of America, bearing in mind the size of that country.
Anyway. Over here in Britai, it's currently 21:25, and I'm bored. I'm waiting for a download to finish (17%!!! 5 mins! Broadband!!!) and I techncally have to come off the PC at 22:00. Technically as in I'm not going to. On other stances, I have realised why loads of people fon't leave opinions. It's because the creators don't leave replies!!! (Mum just told me to turn down headphones. What's wrong with "Firestarter" at top volume?) Obviously this would be impossible if the AMV was a classic, with circa. 3000 opinions, but it's nice to know people appreciate our form-filling time...
I must now research "Love Hina". <Hangs head in shame> I know it's a classic, but I'm in England. The web is my *only* source of anime. <Sobs>

Everybody dreams. Be proud of it.
