  • I am Intrigued. 2007-07-09 00:53:05 I stumbled upon an interesting new anime yesterday, called Mushiuta, and in my rush of intrigue and inspiration, I took a much-needed break from that monster of an action video I've been plodding through and put together a small trailer-ish piece to Mushiuta. It's short, less-than-a-minute short, and very simply edited, but I like how it turned out. I'll upload it tomorrow (afternoon? probably) after I finish smoothing out the kinks.

    On another note, I was able to make it to a Final Cut Pro workshop at an Apple store the other day, and it made me feel pretty good when I found out I'd been using Final Cut for longer than almost everyone one else there. And they were all older than me, too. ^______^ It was a lot of fun, and even though I knew most of what they went over already, I did learn a few little things that I'd been wondering about for a while. Definitely worth the trip. 
  • I Should Have Seen It Coming 2007-07-01 01:18:59 My laptop's charger is almost completely dead. Seriously. The wire is overheating near the place where it plugs into the computer and melting through the plastic. I have to hold it tight (which is not too pleasant on my fingers) for it to work.

    This wouldn't be so terrible if I were at home where I could mooch off of my brother's or my dad's charger until a new one came in the mail. But no. As fate would have it, I am several hours away from home, finally motivated on my most recent video, finally inspired on my most recent story, and a week and a half into my online college course, so now would be the perfect time for this to happen, right?

    ARGH.

    So, my plan is to use the remaining hour of my computer's battery life to throw everything absolutely necessary to my survival onto my tiny little Shuffle (it's finally showing its worth, the damn thing) and relegate to my grandparents slow old Dell upstairs. Hopefully tomorroe, or the next day at the latest, I can get a hold of the info from my warrant sheet back home (thank god for warranties) and make a trip out the nearest apple store, which is out in Cincinatti. If all goes as planned, I should be up and running by early next week. Until then, I probably can't download anything enormous, or be available all the time, but I'll do the best I can. Wish me luck! 
  • Needed: Beta-ers 2007-06-22 23:21:43 As I have been exiled to my grandparents house to 'pull my life together', I have decided that this is the perfect time to finish some of those old half-done videos that have been floating around. And after about six days out here in No-Man's Land (which I will from here on refer to as 'Akron'), I have put in place the last minute of a Peacemaker Kurogane video. Granted, the song was only about a minute and a half long in the first place, but I'm sure you all understand how stressful that last minute can be.

    But to the point; I am asking if anyone would be willing to give it a quick once-over for me sometime in the next week or so? This video has SPOILERS to Peacemaker Kurogane, so if that bothers any of you, then don't worry about it. It also isn't very polished as of 11.17 pm Friday the 22nd of June, though I plan to touch it up as much as I can this weekend.

    On one more, somewhat similar note; does anyone have any advice as to how to clean up DVD footage using programs that run on a Mac OS? All the pretty programs the guides talk about are unfortunately exclusive, and some of my footage is in desperate need of cleaning, so any advice would be much appreciated.
