These ideas have been swarming in my head for a few days now, so I decided to rip the footage and start my remastered Dancing With Myself.
During last night and today, I got to the 0:42 second mark, but I have to go back and change a lot of things, especially those titles, argh!
The remastered edition is MUCH better quality (ha ha, I love having space on Fifi for huffyuv files^_^) and is paced faster so that it's more interesting to watch. And... it has digital effects, which the older version needed desperately in my opinion.
It's so much fun making happy videos^_^

I also have put it and my Ah! My Goddess video up on KaZaA. If you have the program, you can also find the video there. Just look up "Dark Moon Studios" as the author. I'm almost always connected to KaZaA, and I have a fast internet connection, so the video should be easy to get from there.

I entered my new video and "One Day" into the MTAC AMV Contest. My first con!^_^ I won't be able to attend in person, but at least some people will get to see my videos and hopefully my videos will be enjoyed^_^
I'm currently taking a break from editing for a while. I want to start my Dancing With Myself remake soon, though. I have lots of ideas^_^ I'm getting worried about how much space all our footage is taking up on Fifi though, Sierra is still editing three of her videos and those VOBs are taking up over 50 GB! And I wanted to rip the FF8 clips from the CD uncompressed:( For the FF10 footage I might try that rumoured "working FF10 ripper" and rent the game. It's worth a try, I guess.

I was insprired by a song last night that I'm considering using for an MV, maybe Magic Knight Rayearth (even though I don't any of the DVD's... yet...). I think I've given up the idea of doing a video to the Oh My Goddess OVA, I didn't have enough ideas to make a music video really work. I might make one in the future if I get inspired by a suiting song though^_^ Anyway... until next time... -

I discovered last moment that it was not in fact just the project which would not open, Premiere istself refused to open. So I gave up and went to sleep earlier than I thought I would. I woke up this morning expecting to have to re-install Premiere and do some troubleshooting becasue this was what I had to the last time that happened. I tried to open Premiere again just for the heck of it and discovered... it was working again.
The magic turn off then turn on computer solution worked. It seems that it's not enough to just push the restart button, I actually have to turn off the computer. Gomen nasai, Fifi, I guess you were just tired^_^
So I happily went back to work on my video. I had no more problems.
The video... it's getting closer to completion. I have all four minutes done but NEED to go back and fix some things. After I get that done, I just have to go back to the avisynth scripts and take out the Bilinear Resize line, export each section of the video, append it in virtual dub, compress it and voila, I'll have a nice compressed full version of my video^_^ Then I get to battle with the FTP again....
I'll need to take a break from editing after this.
After the break, I'd really like to do a happy video again. I want to do my Dancing With Myself remake, but am still stuck on the FF10 footage problem. I also have a couple songs picked out that were nominated for my Oh My Goddess video. It's probably going to be a typical Oh My Goddess video (but not a dance remix) and be about Belldandy and Keichii... like every other OMG vid. But it's kind of fun to make a good typical video^_^
Sierra Lorna is making her Oh My Goddess video. She started work on three different videos, two Trigun videos and the OMG one. I think she lost her motivation for the Trigun ones. I watched the start of her OMG video and I was stunned. It's a lot more dramatic than any OMG one I've seen. Very artistic too. I can't wait to see the completed version^_^
I don't know what I'm going to do now but I'll find something... I'll probably leave some reviews... -

............ Why...........? I ask again, why.............?
Fifi, you are the greatest computer I have ever known. I take care of you and respect you. I love the efficiency and smoothness you give to my music videos. I love how you can handle anything I give you and go beyond my expectations....
But then you go and stab me in the back?! Why, Fifi? Why?! It's 1:30 in the morning and my eyes are sore and I have this need to work on my video at this exact moment and time and you give me an error message: "Premiere has encountered a problem and needs to close".
And I just wrote a very long rant to my computer but accidentally highlighted most of the entry and pressed the delete button. So now my rant is gone. Where's the unlimited undo button? Jeez... I no longer have the time or energy it takes to send messages to my computer and need to get started working again. Because you see, I can't open the eighth section of my project (I work on my projects in sections, luckily) without getting an error message that forces Premiere to close before it even opens the project. So, I have to do it all over again.
Fifi, you backstabber. Now you must repent by not doing this to me again!Fifi, let's forgive each other and be friends*cries*
Back to work... it's going to be a long, long night....
