  • It's been an abnormally long time since I've made a journal entry... 2002-08-29 02:02:42 School starts next week Tuesday. I really hope my Escaflowne boxed set and Shamanic Princess DVDs get here before then...

    I haven't been doing much video-wise. I'm waiting for Escaflowne to get here... and I don't know what I'll do when it does because I'll need at least 40 GB of space to fit all the vob files from the DVDs on the computer... and the computer currently doesn't have that kind of space. Mostly because we have all of the Trigun vob's still on the computer because Sierra is still editing her video (which is nearly done, by the way). And after she's done that she wants to work on her OTHER Trigun video. So basically what we're thinking of doing is getting MORE hardrive space (I never, EVER though 110 GB wouldn't be enough). What is the world coming to?

    Anyway, once I find a way to get the Escaflowne footage on the computer I'll start work on my completely unoriginal video. This one's going to be more of a hard-rock type of video with a lot of action syncing. So far of my Premiere projects I have done a happy video, a serious/drama video, a dance/effects video, and a romance/sentimental video, so now it's time for some rock. It's not going to have as much of a concept as my others, but it will still have something of a story behind it. But it's not heavy metal or anything too hard, so it won't give me a headache when I'm making the video... After I make that video I have plans for a comedy/fun video once I get some Love Hina footage and some more Eva episodes. Where will I find the time to do these projects? Do not ask me... but I WILL find it somewhere... 
  • No one ever said anime doesn't take up space... 2002-08-20 22:04:53 There's only about 14% of my total hard drive space on my new computer left. Ouch... Why do DVDs have to take up so much space? Not to mention music videos, fansubs, hi-resolution versions of my videos, and all the mp3's I download off p2p programs.

    I used to think 110 GB was way more than I'd ever need...

    Sierra is still working on her video that uses every episode from the Trigun DVDs, and the vob files from those are what's taking up most of the space (takes about 40 GB). And recently we went and rented three anime DVDs: the Escaflowne movie, second volume of Evangelion, and Gunsmith Cats, and we stuck all three of them on the comp. I wouldn't want to use Gunsmith Cats for anything, but Sierra is thinking of making another various video that could use it. The video rental store has six volumes of Eva, plus Death and Rebirth, so I want to rent them all and make a Rei tribute or something in the future... but that will probably have to wait considering the amount of available space we have right now.

    Last Thursday Sierra and I ordered the Escaflowne series and Shamanic Princess... the site said it should arrive in 1-3 weeks... hopefully it gets here before school starts. And hopefully Sierra will be done her Trigun video by then so that I can put the Escaflowne stuff on. I want to make my Escaflowne video!

    I have 169 videos in my Music Videos folder, taking up 6.24 GB... that's crazy... I really should do a disk cleanup and get rid of some of the stuff I don't need or watch anymore...

    On another note, I started making a AMV to the Sailor Moon R Movie... it crashed and burned from lack of motivation and/or inspiration... but it was kind of fun while it lasted^_^

    Prepare for one of my least original videos yet... it's going to be done to fairly over-used Vision of Escaflowne to a majorly, majorly overused song (not Linkin Park by the way, thank god...) but it's one of my favorite songs of all time that I've been wanting to use for a long time so I think it's going to be very fun to make^_^ 
  • Dancing Remastered is finally available... 2002-08-16 00:03:30 I finally found some more webspace to host my videos on. One Day is available for download again and my Dancing With Myself Remastered video is downloadable for the first time^_^

    I think the reamstered version is about ten times better than the original, so even if you didn't like the original you might like this one^_^

    I had to take down One Day in order to get the room to put this one up. I left up my Trigun vid because it deserves it for winning an award^_^ I might put up my Dancing Remastered vid in a while... I'll see how things go...

  • I think... 2002-08-13 23:40:12 ... I actually think the time has finally come... I think I am actually completely finished my video... It took 36 hours over a course of about three weeks, but it's finally done.

    Now all I have to do is encode it for tonight. I'll probably have it up by tomorrow.

    ATTENTION: To put up my two new videos, I'm going to take down my two old ones, One Day and Let it Make Me Strong. If you haven't seen them already and want to, you'd better hurry and download them because they're going to go down sometime tomorrow. You can go click on my profile button to get their links. I'll probably put the videos up on rotation and switch videos every two weeks or something.

    I like the video, I really think it's my best so far. It's far more artistic than my others had been. I think this time I really made a powerful video. I look forward to announcing it and my Dancing Remastered;)
