Don't you hate it when you're a guy and you get a boner when you arn't even thinking about naked girls and then your teacher asks you to pass out papers? Here's Matt's email to me as the reason why my video didn't get shown:

I apologize for taking some time before replying to you on this
issue. Getting together some of the details of the VAT track after AWA
has consumed more time than was expected.
We are sorry that we were unable to show your video "Skatanic" at the
general pro and masters contest showing on Saturday. There were a few
different factors figuring into this. A minor point was the heavy
limitation on time we had this year, preventing us from showing
most of the Masters category. Primary among these factors, however, was
content. Other contestants in the "Best Horror" category did, in fact,
show graphic violence, and this was taken into consideration on each video
as to whether or not they should be shown. In each other case, the
violence was directed at either cartoonishly-unrealistic figures (in the
case of the chiropterians of "Blood" or the infected in the videogame
"Parasite Eve") or was presented in a manner that only showed the violence
indirectly (in the case of "Pet Shop of Horrors"). Your video, however,
presented not only violence, but sexual violence in the form of a
detailed rape scene (as was necessitated by both the source footage and
the song choice) and presented it quite directly. This placed us in a
distinctly awquard position.
We at the AMV contest of AWA do not censor material, ever. This has
always been a guiding principle of the contests since the first
AWA. However, we are also aware of the fact that AWA is a family event,
and, as is required by the state of GA, we cannot screen adult material
for minors. It would have been impossible to clear the room of minors
during the adult sections of the contest (not to mention terribly time
consuming) and thus we were prevented from screening your entry at the
main contest. (Even beyond the legal aspects, we weren't going to take
responsiblity for "little Timmy" in the front row learning the facts of
life from Perfect Blue, Kite, and Key.) The original plan was to hold a
special screening much later that night in the VAT track (usually titled
"The Hour that Does Not Exist") for those videos we were unable to screen
at the contest. However, a snafu with hotel security shut down the room
before it was supposed to be, and prevented us from screening it then
either. As a last resort, all excluded videos were fitted in to the
request track the next morning. We realize that this was hardly
comperable, but ask for your understanding that we did the best we could
under the given conditions.
I wish it to be absolutely clear that your video was not excluded from
voting or eliminated from consideration for a prize in any way. The
voting principles set down in the rules of the pro contest were
followed to the letter. Had you won, your trophy would have been awarded
without showing the video. This has happened in previous years,
specifically at AWA V (I think?) where the "sick and twisted" award for
expo could not be screened at the main contest, and was screened in the
"Hour That Does Not Exist."
If it is any consolation, you were in good company. There were two videos
from Masters' that could not have been screened even if we had had
sufficent time. An instrumental piece done to Kite containing nearly all
the killing scenes and sufficent portions of the sexual child abuse scenes
could not have been screened, and the entry from Alumninum Studios (my
personal favorite of all entries this year) was a complete restructuring
of Key: the Metal Idol to Nine Inch Nails "Closer" that was so far beyond
what we could legally screen, it made everything else look pretty dang
mild. There was a further entry in Expo that won the "Sick and
Twisted" award done from various anime to "Pussy" by Lords of Acid which
also couldn't be screened during the regular contest.
For next year, there is a plan in the works to make general announcements
about any videos whose content prevents us from screening in the main
room, and to notify nominee ahead of time in order to avoid the
frustration you felt this year. Again, we are sorry for the difficulties,
but it was truly unavoidable on our part.
There is also a movement under consideration to place an age limit on
entering the pro contest, as distribution of the judging tape could be
considered a distribution of pornography if the entries get any more
"adult." I am curious what your opinion on this matter is.

Man I'm fricken tired. One day I'm gonna wake up and kick someone in the face, then go back to bed. Last night was Brandon's birthday party and we got him a Type R sticker and a t-shirt that says that he's a riceboy.
Last night sucked though, Alison, the girl I currently have a crush on, has broken up with her boyfriend and she's REALLY REALLY REALLY sad. I was here for her, but I dont wanna be just some rebound.
Okay it's 11:31 AM and I got work at 12:00 so I think I better go and iron my clothes. It's so awesome to be making $7.75 an hour for starting. ;)
