Kino's IS VERY awesome. It's like the movie The Postman in anime form. But if you like that you gotta watch my FAVORITE anime, Now and Than Here and There (Ima soku ni iru boku... or something like that), I think it's probably the MOST mellowdramatic anime EVER. EVER. Though Kino's comes close. Secondly, you gotta give Narutaru a chance. The anime sucks cuz it ends on a cliffhanger. Seriously, no ending, the directors just couldn't come to work one day! Anyway the manga goes all the way to the end.
I think Crest of the Stars (Sudeki Tenkai... or something like that) is up there too, along with Last Exile, but these two aren't mellowdramatic, just dramatic.

Oh yeah! I played the Demo, Ninety Nine Nights, and while the FMVs are really gay lol like Kingdom Under Fire Style, but, no, REALLY GAY. Anyway It's extremely fun hack and slash with Dynasty Warriors-esque RPG elemants. Took me a little while to get used to it, but I just LOVE hack and slash... dunno why. Probly cuz it's simple... like me ;p
Concerning XBLA I suggest Alien Hominid HD. Get it NOW!!
