I recently zapped some tin foil. don't know what I was thinking. thing was fried in an instant! even the thing inside of it (shishkabob) was charred a bit after only a second! Yeiweh, I actually typed up a big, long post about how you should maybe do a video or two (even unrealeased) in Premeire to get the hang of it before you attempt AE. And even THAN After Effects is gonna be a bitch to learn. I'd not even attempted AE yet. Premeire is just alot more powerfull than I really need right now.
Jayn, if you decide on Excel Saga be SURE that a) you have an uncommon sence of drama (cuz I do and I think ES is story telling BRILLIANCE otherwise, and to most ppl, it has no story and is just totally random. Take Seinfeld but more random, more like Frasier really). I highly suggest Elfen Leid though, it's really very touching and not really about the gore. Sakura Wars is really a token thing. I love it, but it takes a certain flare for dramatics ;p. I highly suggest that as well... just tongue in cheek.
Be sure and get the new versions of OVA1 and 2 (they come together in a box set) and the SW TV series comes after OVA1 and 2. I didn't find 1 to be all that special, but 2 was REALLY awesome ;p. OVA3 (goodbye Surime or whatever) comes last. You'll find other OVAs on the internet (fansubbed), like the games they're in no hurry to bring it over here, but those OVAs are like a side story to Sakura Wars. Sakura Wars Taisen ^.^ (yes, I realise Taisen means Wars and side story -_-).
OK if that didn't make you chuckle you won't like Excel Saga lol.
