Server issues
2002-01-04 21:18:43
I need to make you guys aware that for some reason I cannot pull up the sites on the server I use at work. That server hosts my videos. I am on a dial up connection at home and the sites won't come up. However, at work (where I'm on DSL) the sites come up just fine. I think there's a problem in DNS somewhere, but since the server is co-located in Greenwood (about 2 hours from where I am) my hands are tied. If any of you are having troubles downloading my videos or trying to look up my site, please let me know what connection you use to access the internet so I can let the technicians know exactly what's going on when I go into work on Monday. I would really appreciate it. Sorry for the inconvenience. I don't know why this has happened but it's been a hectic week in this state due to the little snow storm we got.

Snow is evil!!
2002-01-04 16:45:45
South Carolina usually doesn't get a whole lot of snow during the winter, but boy did we get hit this week!! I'm ready for spring to get here because I don't like this cold weather. Snow is pretty, but I hate driving in the shit.
Final Fantasy X = Addicting.
I love that game. I'm nearly finished with it and I've loved every minute of it up to this point. Very good game. If any of you love RPGs and have a PS2 get this game. It's very linear, but very very good.
Hopefully I'll return to video editing soon. FFX and spending time with my girl have taken up all of my time lately. After I finish FFX I should be able to find some time to make another video. So for those of you that like my work, sorry I haven't been making any more lately. Promise soon.
And thank you MAS Productions for giving me and honorable mention in your contest. Glad you liked "The Natural" video.
Everyone take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Finally! A new hard drive!
2001-12-17 11:48:17
Woohoo!! Finally got a brand new 40 Gig hard drive that I can solely dedicate to making videos. So, I shall begin a brand new video very soon. If you want to know what I plan on doing next, then go to my website and check out my Future Projects section.
Will have a tad bit more time on my hands now that I've finished Metal Gear Solid 2. Holy shit that game was confusing toward the end. Not to mention Kojima left it wide open for another game! Grrrr...the ending was so open ended that it sort of pissed me off. However, the game was still excellent. Best graphics and game play I've seen on the PS2 so far. Now I won't have the luxury of more free time come later this week because Final Fantasy X is supposed to be available Thursday! I pre-ordered the game from EB so I shouldn't have any problems getting a copy that day. I can't wait!!!!!!
I integrated a new portion to my website last Friday that works kind of like this journal. Just a little something fun to have that I can update often on the site.
Also want to help plug MAS Productions little contest they're holding. Please help support these guys by entering a video. I'm going to enter my latest video, Ryo Hayakawa: The Natural, and some of you all might want to enter one too. It's sounds like a fun contest so help these guys out!
Merry Christmas, everyone! Later!

thoughts about the original Star Wars Trilogy
2001-12-14 08:30:29
I've been introducing my girlfriend to the original Star Wars Trilogy because she had never seen any of them before *gasps*! Figured I'd introduce her to the original first before she saw Episode I, that way she'd have a little greater appreciation for the new movies. Anyway, this weekend we'll be watching what I consider the best of the original Trilogy, Return of the Jedi. One question that's been haunting me for a while is why do some people think that it's the worst of the original three? I've read movie forums and critics reviews about ROTJ and excuses range from "There's loopholes in it" and "Lucus tied things up too neatly". I don't know where the loopholes come from, but isn't it a good thing that Lucus wrapped up the trilogy so neatly? I mean, everything came to a head in ROTJ and Lucus has said himself that Star Wars is like a three act play. Establish Character in Act I, put them in an impossible situation in Act II, resolve the conflict in Act III. Isn't that how a trilogy is supposed to work? I am curious if anyone reading this has the same feelings I do about ROTJ or if they agree with others that it's not the best. Return of the Jedi is a very fun movie to watch and I love how everything is resolved in the end. It was a fitting finale to a terrific trilogy.
Everyone have a great weekend and I look forward to reading some of your comments (if any) on Return of the Jedi. Bye bye!

new girlfriend = all time gone!
2001-12-07 14:56:19
I think most of you know what I mean. I love her to death though.
Anyway, my AMV creating has been non-existant for the past few weeks because I'm waiting to get a new hard drive. My friend is getting me a nice one for Chistmas so I can't wait.
Appreciate MAS Productions plugging my website. Hope you all come visit. Whenever I get time I will add a new section to it.
That's about all I can say for now. Just wanted to shout out some stuff since I haven't made an entry in a while. Everyone have a great weekend!
