- Half way there... 2005-09-30 20:45:31 Wow...its been a month since my last update on my new vid's progress. Well, I can happily say that I'm halfway there! It's been pretty rough getting the faster parts done exactly how I wanted but it looks pretty good to me. I'm excited to see how much this project has come along and how close it's actually coming out to what I had in mind initially. Unfortunately it is taking a while so if you average in that the first half has taken almost 2 months already that would put the completion date of this vid somewhere near Thanksgiving. It seems a long way away but I guess that just how dance vids are...granted this is my first attempt at one. Well, that's all I have to say for now I hope that people are looking forward to this vid as much as I am because even in it's unfinished state I gotta admit that I love watching it. Well...I just got my photoshop up and working again and thought I'd try my hand at some banners. I'll say one thing, it's a great way to kill 30 minutes. I made 2 yesterday and one of them got voted worthy! Yay!

Yay! My Inspiration Has Returned!!!

I had myself worried for the past week...why you ask? Well, this new AMV is being a stubborn project. I keep changing my mind on what I want to sync to, so I kept scrapping everything I had done for the past couple days. It's really been frustrating editing for hours and then coming back the next day and watching the result and it makes me think "ewww...".
Fortunately, experimentation has revived my inspiration in the vid. I was getting ready to shelve the idea when I started to mess around and tweak certain effects. And 4 hours later...tada...here I am. I'm actually satisfied with the work I've done and I'm ready to take on the rest of the song.
I know this sounds pointless, but I'm very relieved that I was able to save this vid. I had already spent around 10 hours working on scrapped ideas so it's a good feeling to be on the right track again. Well, hope things smoothen out from here, now I need some sleep. G'night! -
The New Concept has dawned...and dear god is it gonna be challenging!

As the overlylong titleof this entry says, I've heard the next song I wish to use for my next AMV. I already had the concept of the vid in my mind but I needed a high octane song to match it with and yesterday I happen to find it. This new vid of mine will be an action/dance vid and I have a feeling that it will be the most challenging yet. For instance, the song is almost 200 BPM!!! And it also has alot of small beeps and pops to sync with. But difficulty aside it's the perfect thing that I've been looking for; a song with such a fast, fun and intense beat that it get you excited just to hear it.
I have a feeling this vid will take me months on end but rest assured that I'm very excited to attempt it and I can't wait to see how things develop once I start editing. I've had so many editing and effect ideas for this vid so far that I've already filled two pages with concepts and experiments that I want to try and implement in the vid. So before I begin tackling the monster that I feel this AMV will be I just wanted to post a little bit of an intro to document exactly how crazy I intend this project to be. Hope you wish me luck and I hope to have this done sometime around Christmas maybe...depends on how gritty things get in the process!
P.S. - Oh, you want to know what song or what anime I'm intending on using...? Well, I'll keep that to myself right now. I can confidently say that after searching around the org this song hasn't been used yet and the anime I'm using only has a small handful of vids so far. I'm rather shocked since it's such a great show but I'm happy that my vid will be original not in song but in anime choice as well. Later!
