Wrestling Banquet

we had the wrestling banquet yesturday. it was kinda sad for me. i've been wrestling now 6 years. that makes 6 years of my life over. six years that i have dedicated to this sport. 6 six years that i have spent working my hardest and becoming a man.
we arrived early to set things up wit scott's family. once we did that, we then waited for everyone to arrive. Didn't take long, majority of the team showed up. food was served, and we ate. Coach Glass had to leave during the eating. He had family problems at home. Out of the four years I wrestled for him, he never has ever missed a day of practice, let alone a meet or a banquet. It had to be important that he went to this. I'm going to miss wrestling for him. His sarcastic humor helped get me through the season. And unlike most people, when I lost, he didn't try to make me feel better by saying I did a good job.(In case you don't know, I hate it when people tell me I did a good job when I lost. I lost I didn't do a good job) He would tell me what I did wrong almost immediatly after the match, so I would know what to do next time. I had the honor of speaking and giving him his coach's gift. but since he wasn't there, i couldn't give it 2 him.
awards were handed out. they called freshman up first. my bro was the last of the freshman. the kid made me so proud this year. he wrestled his hardest, made varsity as a freshman and finished up with a 10-10 record.which is one of the best records on the team) later they called mike up as a sophmore (he's a junior) afterwards they called omar up. coach mealy gave a nice speech about how he wrestled with emmotion all season. and how there wasn't anyone who put more heart into each match. they called up jeremy next. he had 2 varsity wins this season, but it was those two that made the differance for him. Scott followed. Coach gave a great speech about him. Talking about how he came from a long line of wrestling brothers. Lastly, I went. The coach gave a beatiful speech about me. He said that I was always the one who would work during my breaks, or try and constinantly pass people on the stairs. He said that i had told him about my goals to win the first tournament at counties and beat someone who had beaten me before. I did that all at counties. He said I later told him at districts that I wanted to break 20 for a final record and also break my middle school record of 22-4. I did. It was a great speech.
Afterward, the captains gave out gifts. First to the stat girls, sara was the only one who stayed. Omar started a new tradition(which never happened at south) by hugging her, and the remain people we called up.) we all did the same. it was a nice new thing to do. we called up jen (the head coach's daughter next) we gave a nice speech about how she always "fixed the people we broke" she was the athletic trainer. Jeremy quickly improvised for witchy's speech (the head trainer.) Finally we called up the coaches. omar spoke for coach b. (coach b was thrilled that we started the huggin tradition, no one at south had done it before when he went there) i spoke about coach glass next, despite the fact that he wasn't there. scott spoke for Mr. Mealy. "It was 6 years ago that Jeremy, James and I" I hadn't really thought much of that until then. 6 years. 6 years of my life over. I still can't believe it.
Today, after school ended, i went to see mr. glass. I personally handed him the gifts that he missed the night before. It was something I had to do. We talked for 5 minutes, shook hands, and I left. 6 years of my life over. -
weekend

well, it was a busy weekend. friday i did hw, hoping that i could get together wit my gf on sat. sat during the mornin i went to an ap class for programming. during the class, she imed me online sayin she was getting together with someone else instead. >:( i wasn't 2 happy, but what ever. its what she wants to do. what got me mad though, was that she blocked me online later. one thing i m going to have to do is think about how i want my relationship to go with her. I like her, but i dunno if she likes me back.
anyway, i went back home after the class, a little pissed. i spend a few hours messing around wit my bros new pc. we figured out how to rip dvd's. that can help the quality of my videos. later i went out 2 Zoe's house. she was having another party. it was great. i had a lot of fun. the only problem is my x was there. luckly my friends helped me avoid her :) we got food at mcdonalds and stuff. watched some movies. i got to hang out wit my friend nadia. i havn't talked 2 her in a while. it was good. zoe had to kick us out at 10, so we drove around, first we had to drop my x off. (i kinda got lost on the way) so afterwards we went 2 chris's house. we chilled there for a while talking. then i had to go home.
I spent most of today cleaning the house and doing hw. anyway i gtg

due to the lack of time i have, i wont b able to tell u guys abuot my trip to disney. sorry. currently, school sux, 2 much hw and other work. parents are being anal and the girl i like is being a bitch. on the plus side, i got all the clips in order on my vid. now i have to fix the glitches. i will get back to u on that.
peace - Senior Trip 2002-03-13 09:20:53 Well, I got back from the Senior Trip last night around 9. It was a great trip. I really enjoyed it. There is so much to talk about that involves the trip, that i can't name all of it in one entry. (lack of time) so i m going to do it over numerious entries. (Hopefully i'll have the time.) Anyway, ttul.

well i head out to florida tomorrow. senior trip. the downside is that i have to be in school until 12:30. i wont be doing ne work though. too lazy. it should be fun. im bunkin wit scott, jeremy and brian are roommates. i can't wait. i'll tell u all about it later.
