JOURNAL: Rozard (Brian Nickerson)

  • How many orifices does Pikachu have? 2002-04-04 01:32:33 Wang: You're a loser
    Super Saipen: DAMN YOU! LOL
MJ: You missed it; DewpieBurdock was on tonight. We had fun ripping him a new one.
Taskmasta: "Suck it, ya dumb bitch!"
    WuCheeZe: Ghetto Wine!

Right now, my roommate and I are watching Revolutionary Girl Utena (pronunciation: 'oo-ten-aah). It's really cool; I like it a lot. I just wish they'd hurry up and release the last 13 episodes on DVD.

Soon, Soon! I shall have Premiere working on my computer! I have to start on my next project, All Alone. I don't know how many people have heard the song I'm going to use, "Overground - Alone," set to Cowboy Bebop. I guarantee that it will be unlike your typical Cowboy Bebop vid. I can'e say like any other because true originality is very hard to come by these days. I don't think my vid will be totally unique, but it will distinguish itself. But until then, you'll just have to wait! ^-^

I'm going back home for the weekend, so I apologize if I'm not in the Chat Room that much. I'll be recording with my band "Silver Elixir." I know MJ wanted to hear some of our stuff, and I need to record a song for YCSTR. Other than that, I'll catch you later. If you want to contact my, my AIM screen name is Rozard, just like here. Peace out, losers! 8^Þ
  • Hooray for 7-11! 2002-04-03 16:41:12 Yeah, so I went on a slurpie run yesterday, and to make a long story short, I won $50! Whoo! Not bad for someone without a steady income. Anyway, I also saw "Death To Smoochy" last night. That has to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It's quite original, and very funny. If you haven't seen it yet, you don't know what you're missing.

My man ishkiodo told me about this page home.spacetowns.com, and it's supposed to be better than Angelfire, which is what I'm using now. So far, though, I can't get anything to upload, and it says you can get rid of the ads, but there's still an ad on it, but it's for a ring of pages on their service. Hector, man, I don't know; at least I can get Angelfire to work. I'll give this thing some time, and if I can't get my videos up, then it's back to low bandwidth and sending AMVs over AIM.
  • Big fucking misquitos 2002-04-03 01:25:41 That's right, big fucking misquitos. I got up this morning and turned on my monitor, and this beast of a thing attacked my screen as if it were hot sex on a stick. I've left the window open all night before, but never has there been such a monstrosity in my room the next morning. Maybe I should spray...

Ah, fuck! I went to open the shutters on my window, and a panel just broke off. Cheap ass university! Won't ever replace a light bulb! This is bad; it means unadulterated light coming in at six in the morning. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Not that I care, I sleep with eye shades. ~_^

Anyway, I picked up an old issue of Animerica, and there were two things that caught my eye. One was that there was someone's journal of their first convention, and they mentioned "Senshi On Springer" by dok1 dok1 (Tim Park) as their favorite video. The other thing was that in their review for "Blood: The Last Vampire," Yeah compared Saya to Sawa of "Kite." I found that a little funny, seeing as I said that in a journal entry a few days ago. Here, I'll post what they said:

"The reason for the title, "Blood," is demonstrated amply in the film's first scene. A somber Saya stalks and slays a chiropteran on a moving trian in a scene reminiscent of a similar assassination in Yasuomi Umetsu's hard-boiled crime-drama anime "Kite." "Blood's" Saya herself is even somewhat reminiscent of "Kite's" character Sawa - a killer in pigtails and schoolgirl dress, young but not young."

Well, I guess I should hit the sack; it's 4:20am here in Miami. I'll leave the window closed to keep the misquitos and chiropterans out. Lord knows I want my blood. Peace!
  • Keep my journal alive! 2002-04-01 23:21:37 I don't know why, but it seems everytime I make a journal entry, all these other people write entries out of nowhere, and it wipes my entries out from the main screen. So I'm just going to put in a pointless entry to that I can brag that I have been on the AIM amv.org Chat Room the longest tonight! April 1, I was on at 5:21pm EST, and it 2:20am EST, and I'm still on! WHOO!! Well, I'll be in the Chat Room, while writing my next journal entry. Peace, see you later!
  • Please leave a title at the beep.........*beep* 2002-04-01 20:00:24 Ugh. Opinions, opinions, opinions. That's all I'm good for. That and various AIM chat room comments. I just recently review Beowulf's "Keep Breathing" (Radiohead - Exit Music [For A Film] - Akira), jbone's "Harsh Reality" (Fastball - This Is Not My Life - The Big O), and mexicanjunior's "Liquid Petals" (The Cowsills - The Flower Girl - The Adolesence of Utena). I'm also in the process of getting a song recorded for YCSTR's "not-so-secret" project. I haven't seen him online in a while, so I can't really talk to him about it. After listening to the song, I realized it's only drums and keys, so I don't need to be there to record it, which make it more convient for my bandmates.

I watched the first DVD of GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka). It was pretty funny, and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm waiting for the next disc to come out. Basically, it's a 22 year old ex-biker gang leader who wants to become the greatest teacher in the world, for all the wrong reasons of course. High school girls!!! But who says that's a bad reason....He turns out to be doing a good job. One of the things that makes the show enjoyable is that it's a break from the shows that aren't possible in real life. It boasts "No Big Eyes, No Magical Powers, No Giant Robots." I recommend it!

I also started to watch "Revolutionary Girl Utena," but down here in Miami there's a rain storm, and the FUCKING POWER CUT OFF!!! This wouldn't be bad if I was watching on my computer, since I have a battery back-up. But I don't have a DVD-ROM drive, and my roommate does, but is lacking a battery back-up. And he has a password on his computer, which I don't know, so I have to wait for him to get back from the gym. Why does South Florida have to have so many thunderstorms?

Well, that's it for now. I'm still in the AMV.org chat room, wasting away. IM my if you need me, my handle's Rozard. Hell, I'll review your video if you really want. I guess that's all I'm good for.
