The light at the end of the chunnel...
2002-06-13 12:31:20
Things are starting to look up this week! The family computer has been reformatted, so it's nice and not-as-slow. My dad ordered our cable modem, which should be here tomorrow. It will be installed in my room, then routed to the other twoo computers (This one and my brother's). I've started work on another video using Premiere! Although it's still downloaded footage (no DVD-ROM yet), it's superior downloaded footage! If anyone's interested, it's Cowboy Bebop done to "311 - Color." I had my first interview at Best Buy two days ago, which I passed, and I passed the phone quiz yesterday. Tomorrow I should be called in for the final interview with the general manager. I've secured tickets to an upcoming concert at the Mars Music Ampitheater, and my girlfriend will be coming to that as well! And last but not least, I won first place on the NTN's "Showdown" Trivia Game at my local R.J. Gator's. At the resturant, they give out a $20 gift certificate to whoever comes in first place at that game (It's only once a week).
Recap: I'm working on a new vid. I'm very close to getting this job. I'll get high-speed internet access in my room very soon. I get a free meal next Tuesday night at R.J. Gator's. I 'm going to a concert with my girlfriend next week.
Woo-Hoo! I almost forgot, The band is sounding really good. I need to get a copy of our newest stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to post some of it soon. Don't worry, all you faithful readers of my journal (myself), once we get the cable modem installed, there will be more where this came from. Not to mention I'll be back in the AIM Chat Room again. Peace!

Fuggin family computer...
2002-06-05 13:30:25
Yeah, I pulled my computer out of my room into the den to hook it up. No internet in my room (yet). I just bought the "Armitage III: Poly-Matrix" DVD. It wasn't that bad a movie, but it's purely dub. *Hears shadow13: "YOU FOOL!"* Ah well... WHEN CAN I GET A FUCKING JOB!!! Ugh, so many application, zero phone calls. If only my band could get some gigs as well... Oh yeah, the "family" computer has viruses flaring up on it again, and McAfee don't work no more, and IE got fucked up. So noooooooo internet on that one. There's supposed to be some Microsoft person coming this weekend, my dad said. Bah. That's when I leave for band practice then.

Long time, no type...

Geez! It's been forever since I've posted a journal entry. Perhaps that's because my fat-ass brother is always online. Not to mention that recently my parent's computer has been getting progressively slower and slower. We had to reinstall McAfee to run it, and found over 40 viruses, dating back to 2000. No wonder it's so slow!
At any rate, I will be going to JACON on Saturday. I had no idea that EK was going to be there. I would have figured she'd go to A-Kon, seening as it's in Texas. But since she's a guest, I'd go too if I were important. I hope I get to meet her, I love all of her stuff. I'm supposed to meet up with Xenodrake there, and give him a "bag o dicks" to eat, courtesy of MexicanJunior and NME. Whatever.
Unfortunately, my best friend decided to back out of going at the last minute. Oh well, his loss. Also, I still haven't secured the use of my dad's video camcorder, but I'm 99% sure he'll let me use it. Still no job at Best Buy (Suck), so I have no income, and no new hardware for my computer, and no footage to start me next project. I hope to God I can get something done for AWA. *Crosses fingers* Oh yeah, my band's changed it's name (once again) to "Cobia."

Just a small entry today...
I haven't posted in a while. I came home about a week ago from school, and I'm trying to readjust to living here. I've got parents and an older brother to deal with, more chores, and slow internet (usually monopolized by my brother). Well, we should be getting Cable soon, so I'll be able to get online on my computer, from my room no less. Also, I've been discussing with Adiamante, and I've decided to join Randow Variable Productions, home of Adiamante, MexicanJunior and RedPlague. More info to come....But as for now, my bitch-ass brother wants to get online, and we're going out to eat tonight at the local sports bar place. They have NTN Trivia there, and we play Showdown Tuesday nights. Peace!

Is it good to be home?!
2002-05-10 01:21:55
Esh. I have my computer set up in my room, but I found out that the reason the phone line doesn't work in my room is because it HASN'T BEEN CONNECTED FOR THE PAST 19 FUCKING YEARS!!! So I unscrewed the wall plate to take a look, and I have 12 crusty wires, 6 from each main wire, and a phone jack that has a place for 4 wires to be attached. Most likely I'll twist two together for the back, but I'm still out a few wires. After contemplating for an hour, and working on all of this with about a foot of room behing my bed's headboard, I got shocked. I decided it was time to stop and figure it out later. It didn't help that it was 4 in the morning either, and I had just moved back into my room yesterday. I MISS MY T1 CONNECTION, AND I MISS JEN!!!
Today was more interesting. I was able to get online and talk to some buds, like Adiamante. I even was on the AMV.org chatroom tonight (Check the Off Topic Forum for the fight ehoo and I had). The highlight of my day was when Matt, Matt and I went to Mars Music to make some purchases before we went to the "studio." There were some old guys on the stage in the store playing covers. Imagine a guy in his 40s sing "Man In The Box" by Alice In Chains. God, his voice was so awful! And he kept going *reaaaaaaally* flat that the top note during the chorus. "Jeeeeeeeeesus Christ!*
Although while we were there, Matt Burk (bassist) bought some strings for his guitar, and was checking out this sweet blue Squire Telecaster. The really awesome thing was that it was quite thin, where as Telecasters are generally thick. I bought some drum sticks for myself: a pair of 718 Acid Jazz sticks, and some 747 B Loud Rock sticks. I'll try and get more information on them, if anyone cares. Anyhow, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow - well, actually today, but you know what I mean - is Friday, and Matt Osterburg (guitar) doesn't have school. You know what that means: ALL-DAY BAND PRACTICE!! WHOO!!! Peace!
