JOURNAL: Rozard (Brian Nickerson)

  • Man, anime is cool 2002-11-17 00:29:28 I've been watching more anime now. I haven't been able to get around to it lately, so I've made it a point to put time aside to watch some. For instance, 12:30am - 3am, when I should be sleeping -_-;;

    I just finished the Escaflowne TV series yesterday morning (2:30am) and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. If you haven't seen all of it yet, but think you'd like it, watch it. I watched the movie today after I got home from work, and I have to say that I didn't really like it. A lot of people have said that they like the character design better. Well duh, it's a full length movie, typically more time and money is put into the animation. The biggest complaint about the TV series character design was the noses. Personally, I didn't have a problem with them.

    Of course, I've got to keep up with Inu-Yasha. Watched the newest episode on Cartoon Network tonight. Also, I've watched up to episode 10 of Excel Saga. I own the first DVD, so that's 5 episodes right there. I just download the rest. I have to say that so far, my favorite episodes are 4, 6 and 8 (If only for the Bisho Theater ^_^ ) I just finished the first episode of Kare Kano before beginning this post as well. It's 1:30am now, so I'm going to get some sleep and watch more tomorrow. I'm also trying to download episodes of Key The Metal Idol as research for a possible AMV, but I can't seem to even find any to download.

    *Rumages through stuff* What else do I have here? Oh yeah, one of my friends lent me Jin-Roh and Armitage III: Dual-Matrix. He also lent me the Esca movie and series. Then again, I've shown him Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Evangelion, Hellsing, FLCL, Perfect Blue, Spriggan, Vampire Hunter D, Princess Mononoke, and some other stuff, so I think it evens out ^_^ He's really into Dragonball Z though, and it's not really a bad thing. It'd be a bad thing if he only cared about DBZ and no other anime, but he's open to new stuff. He wanted to go to AWA this year, but it was just too short notice for him. He's going to come with me to JACON next summer though.

    Well, I think that's it for me tonight. I've got to hit the sack. I'm so glad I don't have to work tomorrow.

    *Sleeps in* Peace
  • Shit... 2002-11-15 04:11:19 I'm getting to bed about the same time my parents are waking up for work

    o.O
  • Also, Dennis Miller drives an Isuzu 2002-11-12 15:25:19 On my way to class this morning, this dude in an Isuzu SUV pulls up behind me. Looks just like Dennis Miller. I swear, Palm Beach Gardens is where all the celebrity lookalikes come. I wonder if that means we'll be getting all the ErMaC clones. *Shudders*

    Well, today's my brother's 22nd birthday. If you want to bother the hell out of him, or give him a Happy B-Day wish, his AIM SN is Olceon. Just make sure you tell him that you know me :D Don't want him getting all paranoid.

    I tried installing the hard drive Jon (Adiamante) gave me at AWA, but for some reason it wasn't recognizing it. So Fluxmeister was kind enough to talk to me and help me try and get it to work.....which it didn't....because my computer's a stupid A-hole. After many tries to get into the BIOS (I still don't know how), my computer got stuck in Safe Mode....only it wasn't IN Safe Mode ;_;

    Fluxy stayed up with me until 4 in the morning (1 AM for him) trying to help me fix my computer...which didn't happen. I was all distraught the next day and at work...until I had the most genius basic idea. Right about now, all you people that know more about computers than me (And that's probably most of you) are saying "GO INTO SAFE MODE AND RESTORE YOUR SETTINGS FROM A PAST DAY!!!" Well, that's what I did, and my baby's fine! ^_^

    Of course, the hard drive still isn't working....

  • DDR + Para Para = Late For Work 2002-11-08 22:07:21 "You know, I think we learned something today..."
    ...And that would be "Don't play DDR with flip flops on."

    Like I said I would, I went to the arcade and played DDR. The one that was there was DDRMAX, or the 6th Mix, or whatever. I had on flip flops. Big mistake. The arcade also had Para Para Paradise, which I was astoundingly better at. Well, I selected So Deep on DDR. Geez, I must have failed that within 20 seconds because my flip flops kept getting stuck on the panels of the floor. That and they would shift on my feet, hurting them.

    I tried once again, with bare feet. That hurt as well, and I may have had a little more control over my feet, but I had almost no traction. That, and since I was playing on Light, the steps were slow, and it was hard for me to keep my balance. Nothing like watching a person playing DDR for relatively the first time ^_^;;; Well, I tried again a second time and I actually passed all three stages (With one C and two D's) I played Ordinary World, Firefly and Dive, and I want to play tomorrow too. Good thing I don't have work. I just need to remember to wear shoes.

    Side note: Two of my videos (Character Shades & Kusanagi and The Dude) have been entered into CSUN's AMV Competition ^_^
