JOURNAL: Rozard (Brian Nickerson)

  • Well, did you? =O 2003-03-12 01:40:37 I hope everyone had a Happy 311 Day :^) My video is up for download: Trip The 'Shrooms Fantastic

It's cheesy as hell, but I think everyone who's watched it so far has liked it a lot. I would have had this done sooner (Spring Break was last week for me), but as I said in my previous post, I was sick on Spring Break. I found, to my dismay, that editing is the last thing on my mind when I can't even drink water without pain. :^(

This weekend I should be doubling my HD space (20GB --> 40GB), doubling my RAM (256MB --> 512MB) and upgrading to WinXP. Then I shall edit in a fury. =O

I got an IM from Corran Productions the other night. He's a real awesome guy. We must've talked for about a half an hour straight. I was going to go ride my bike, and I didn't realize I had spent that long chatting, so I had to cut back the time I rode my bike. He was also kind enough to send me a beta of his soon-to-be-finished Love Hina AMV. OMG, it kicks so much ass! Definantly #3 favorite Love Hina video. I can't wait for its final release (Even though those long black scenes are my favorite part :^P )

  • Shit, I didn't realize it had been so long! 2003-03-10 00:15:24 Well, how do I begin to explain myself....
About two weeks ago, I was in class and working. As well, I was trying to finish up my video. Then I was off to MegaCon. It rocked. What didn't rock was the 5 days that was supposed to be my Spring Break that I spent in agony being sick. I get sick about once a year, but when I get sick, I get siiiiiick. So that's done and over, and I'm back to going to work. In my free time, I finished my video and it's up for download. i'm going to go make a link here right now.
  • Goddamn you half-Japanese girls 2003-02-24 19:11:43 I toured the UCF (University of Central Florida) campus today. I must say it's quite tight. I visited it last summer when I went to JACON, but I stayed in the Student Union the whole time. The tour covered areas like the Library, Bookstore, Housing Centers, the Business school, and the Engineering school, where we learned the other meaning of UCF's acronymn (Under Construction Forever).

After the tour was over, my dad and I headed to the Student Union to grab some lunch. When I opened the doors to get in, I was pleasently suprised by a group of Japanese girls that looked like this:

I shit you not. So, after picking my jaw off the floor, I made my way to a mexican place and got a portabella enchilada. It was savory goodness. I decided I wanted to find out more about a program I had heard about: the Digital Media program. Finally, after being directed to 4 other buildings, we found the CREAT Lab. This looks like something I could really get into. There are six specifications under the program: Computing for Media, Graphic Design, Internet and Interactive Media, Animation, Digital Music, and Writing for Media. The lab's site is listed below:

  • Interesting day at work 2003-02-24 00:09:28 My register locked up, along with my tray in it. We tried to turn it off then back on again, but it wasn't having it. So we just unplugged the change drawer and switched it with another. Fucking awesome. I still don't know why the damn thing locked up on me. Maybe because they're ancient IBMs that never get turned off. Just a thought.
  • Hoohah! 2003-02-20 12:38:09 Yeah, I'm at school right now. My psychology class was cancelled, so I thought what better to do than waste away here? Well, that, and I figure I'd do my English homework that was due in 2 hours.

Yesterday I went to Best Buy, thinking FLCL Vol. 2 was out on DVD. I then remembered that it's next week that it comes out. Still, my efforts were not in vain, for lo; I am wearing the "Noir" shirt that came with the DVD and Collector's Box I bought! As of yet, no one has said anything about the shirt. *sniffly, tear, sob* It's most likely due to three reasons:

    1. No one at PBCC cares about anime.
    2. People don't talk to students that eternally wear headphones.
    3. My last class had the lights out because we were watching "Amadeus."

Heh, §_Akuma_§, when are you not drunk? :^P Seriously, it's good to see you posting somewhere other than Carlos's forum :^P

I finished my semi-secret AMV project the other day. I just have to wait for the other people in this project to finish their parts, among other things (Jon ¬¬) Hopefully I'll be able to finish my new AMV before MegaCon. Speaking of MegaCon, I conferred with my friends, and we're going to be planning our trip soon. Originally it was going to be my friend Sean and I (Sean's a big DBZ freak, but he likes other anime as well), but Matt (whom I've talked about before) said he would most likely be going as well. Originally Matt wasn't going to go because he didn't have the money (no job ;_;) buthe's been working with his dad some, and should be able to go. So if you're going to be at MegaCon, I'll be sure to introduce you to my "posse." :^P

I agree with grayplague that the VCA's is in a sense pointless and a joke, but hey! I don't have a problem with winning anything :^D I'm going to take Vlad's approach and never expect anything. Like he says, "The moment you expect to win, you won't." Besides, if I do win, it'll be that much more of a suprise. But who am I fooling? There are so many better videos that my two up this VCAs ("Character Shades" and "Kusanagi & The Dude"). Still, if any thing, I would ask you, the reader, to at least check out those two videos. If you feel the urge to nominate them, then I love you very much *AIM Kissy Face*
