@Scintilla - I have skimmed EADFAG, but I don't think I've looked over Vic's guide much. Yes, I do realize that a number of the guides on this site have screencaps - for which I'm very thankful - but it always seems like the stuff I need explained to me the most is a given. Meaning, I'm expected to already know what most of the terminology means, or how to do something. It's probably just me. I mean, they wouldn't have guides if I was supposed to know everything already.
Either way, I've never been very good with technology. I usually have to have someone walk me through this kind of stuff. If I try to figure it out myself, I end up permanently corrupting whatever I'm working with, I swear. Still, all I want to do is a compression (I don't know why I was saying conversion; there's certainly nothing wrong with WMM2's .avi format - it's just huge), so I ought to be able to learn, even if I'm using a guide where I don't quite understand everything.
Anyhow, I'm not particularly worried about it until I actually finish my video. Since that's a ways off, I still have time to skim all of the relevant technical guides and see if anything might be a probable solution.
Ugh. It's hot in here.

You know what I want to do? I want to make a video with Dragonball Z, Inu Yasha, Evangelion, FLCL, Naruto, and FullMetal Alchemist and have it put to a freakish Linkin Park/Evanescence song combination of my design.
What would everyone think of that?
I think it would be the most creative idea ever!

To be honest, though, I'm not really bothered by the insane amounts of videos put to all of those anime. Sure, it's irritating, but whatever. I'll live. I just won't watch them.
I just like ranting about it.

Thirty first entry - Engage!

Dude, I'm ACTUALLY working on a new video. It's crazy.
It is, in fact, the only anime I've ever known that goes with the song. No, I'm not divulging what the anime and song is. That would jinx me. Everytime I tell people what my new video idea is, I end up not doing it. I'll be damned if I don't do this one. It's weird, though. It was a whim idea, but after I thought about it for a while, I realized, "OMGWTFBBQ!!!11! +h1$ //0rkz0rz!"
So, I started it. Not bad, so far, if I do say so myself. Points off for using fansubs, but there aren't any subtitles. I'm good like that. ^_^
I'm going to try some conversion this time, to save at least a little of the quality. You know, save it as an .avi in WMM2, then use Virtual Dub and see what happens. Of course, I know less than anything about that kind of stuff, so it's a shot in the dark. I'll have to study, or attempt to read the guides - which, I don't give a fuck what anyone says, the technical guides are NOT easy to understand. If it's just conversion, though...I don't think it'll be that bad.
You know what we all need? Screencap guides. It's so much easier to be able to see what the person is talking about. I realize that's a lot of work, but when you do it once, the method more or less stays the same, despite changing technology.
This entry is getting long. I need to go write my smut.
I wish I had a giant, rolling, computer chair with arms.

Yeah, the title of that song pretty much describes my outlook on uploading. It also happens to be a gorgeous piece of music.
Okay, I don't know how the banner I'm looking at ever got voted worthy. It's a picture of Lucy (from Elfen Lied) holding her head, crying as if in pain. Next to it, the text says "It'll freak you out!"
Wait.
What kind of message are we trying to send to newcomers of the site? They'll have seizures if they come here? It'll be painful? They'll go crazy? They'll cry?
What the fuck!? I don't care if it has the ever-adorable, ever-violent Lucy, it's a terrible banner. Fuck you, sezza1490. Your banner sucked.
Okay, now that that's out, I've been making screencaps lately. I'm not sure why. I guess it's easier than looking for images online.

Why am I sharing all of this with you? It's simple really. I love you. I love all of you. I also couldn't give a fuck less about what I type on a little journal like this. Hell, come to think of it, this journal gets more attention than my LJ does. Only Nicole posts on that one.
