Fifty fourth entry - so pointless it's funny
2005-09-27 23:19:16
Time - 10:18, Noise - the sounds of AMV Hell
Just watched the first two AMV Hells.
Oh my Cod. Gendowned and Cowboy Mmmbop. Those officially qualify as the best parody titles I've heard in a looooooong time.
*is getting the next installment of the videos* Hmm...it'll be about fifteen minutes or so, it says. In the meantime, I have other videos I need to get watched right now - and some quick comments to give, for that matter.
See ya, folks.

Fifty third entry - All's fair in love and opinions...
2005-09-26 15:38:25
Time - 2:33, Noise - Elfen Lied - "Lilium"
@Sub0-kun - I figured as much. I really shouldn't be worried about "making it fair," shall we say. Besides, the fact that I'm giving opinions at all is what counts. Most people seem to crave the things like oxygen, so even those who are the type to say "give me an eight or above or I'll hate you forever" should still appreciate it.
I have to wonder if five will ever become average again with opinions...
Probably not.

Fifty second entry - Honesty is the Best Policy
2005-09-26 15:11:26
Time - 1:50, Noise - Evanescence - "Breathe No More"
You know what I've found? The more opinions I give, the more honest they're becoming. Some videos that I had set in the 9.something range for their average score are quickly becoming not-so-deserving of that score. Videos that I've enjoyed very much recently are getting 8.something for the average. I have many of them getting sevens as well. I still don't have many videos with sixes and below, but I also don't give opinions to videos that I don't somewhat like. Well, not often. If they're submitted to me in a thread, then I have no choice. Still...a part of me considered going back and redoing all of the scores of all the AMVs I've ever opinioned (72, currently). The problem with that is that I would have to reword half of what I said again AND I'd probably end up doing this all over again next time I decide I'm getting more honest. At the moment, it's just not worth it. Actually, I don't think it'll ever be worth it.
Also, I've been thinking about going back and giving opinions to all of my own videos. The creator can do that, but it always seemed a little vain to me. Now that I think about it, though, wouldn't an opinioner be curious about what I as the creator think? I know I would be, but I'm not like other people.
Speaking of opinions, though, I've been giving a lot of quick comments lately. I find that those are the most honest of all, since, unless I choose to sign it - which I sometimes do - nobody knows who I am. Thus, I can bash safely. I've given a QC to every video I've downloaded since the feature was installed, and most of them have been very constructive. Sometimes, though...a video just sucks that bad. I do admit to having been very mean on some of them. I don't sign those ones... >_>
Still speaking of opinions, I'm finally catching up on all of those free ones I've owed for a few months now...
Speaking of which (Cod, I've used that phrase a lot), I should continue doing that. -M_X_R-, here I come!

Fifty first entry - Who names a song "A Stupid Barber"?
2005-09-24 20:05:07
Time - 6:43, Noise - DDR - System SF feat. Anna - "Look to the Sky"
Yeah, that's one of my favorite DDR songs. I totally wanted to make a video to it, and I had the perfect idea. Alas, that is trashed now, so I shall never speak of it again~!
Anywho, the reason I'm listening to DDR music is because I just finished playing Extreme - quite a feat (and a little crazy) considering how hot it is here. Thankfully, it's been raining all day, so it's gotten downright chilly at times. So, now I'm listening to music that wasn't in Extreme. "Look to the Sky" happens to be in Max (the most difficult of the PS2 versions, in my opinion), which is where a lot of my favorite DDR tunes come from.
I'm quite a sight to watch when I'm dancing - you know, a fat chick jumping around in Standard and Heavy is slightly questionable. I don't care, though. I'm *good* at DDR, and that's all that matters - even if I look like an ass doing it. At college, there's a DDR competition on Friday, and I'm debating going to it. On Thursday, one of my friends heard about some people practicing, and said that they were impressed by folks doing Light Mode. If that's the case, then I have it made. What I'm worried about the most is going into the place and finding a bunch of Heavy and Challenge Mode people there. I would feel like such a reject then. If the weather isn't too hot, though, I'll go.
On a different note, I laid down a few more clips in my video. It's coming along nicely, but damn WMM2 keeps crashing every two seconds. On a creative level, this video is probably on par with my seventh video - that being 'Evolution or Mutation?' - except, in this new one, I have a real story I'm following. It's not so many random mood-fitting clips this time, as it is ones that actually help with a plot. I can't wait to finish it, but I don't want to rush. I have a pretty vivid mental image of how this video is supposed to look, and I want to keep with that as much as I can.
I don't know what I want to do now. Either I'm working on my video or my fanfic - probably the former, as I prefer writing when it's dark. Don't ask me why; I haven't the foggiest how light affects my writing, but it does. I'm far more productive at night.
With that said, I'm off! ^_^

Fiftieth Entry - fiftieth looks like a strange word...
2005-09-23 16:46:32
Time - 3:44, Noise - just the fan...
Ileia-chan - nah, it was a different video. The guy's video I saw had the entire song name wrong. It was a remix of the song, and he miscredited the mixer in the parentheses...
I feel like crap.
