You know what I hate about visiting home? My mother insists that I spend every waking hour with her. I mean, she TOOK ME TO WORK WITH HER. Now, she's doing everything in her power to get me to go shopping with her tomorrow, when I already told her that I wanted to finally spend a day with JUST my best friend. We haven't gotten to be together as just the two of us since I started college. So, I pulled a hefty amount out of my account, and I'm going shopping with her tomorrow - whether mommy likes it or not. I mean, she SAID she was cool with it. She said she didn't mind, but you can tell that she's trying to worm around it.
My little video segment that I'm going to be using as a test is coming along alright. I can't work on it now, due to my being home, but hopefully I'll get some time in on Sunday or Monday. I just want it to play around with for conversion and compression. I want to see what I can get out of it. I'm not very bright with technology, so maybe this will be a good learning experience. When I do my next (or NEXT next) video, I'll have a whole new set of quality control issues to deal with.
*sigh* I can't think of much to write. Life has been...life. Anyway. I'm #AMV-ing right now, so I'm leaving. Besides, my friend will be online soon.

Making a big deal? Hardly. It was passing thought that culminated now. It just so happened that numerous people threw my comments back into my face, making me a bit reluctant to give them out to said individuals anymore. It makes me feel a tad worthless. Wouldn't you agree?

Well, this is one of my (relatively) rare complaint entries. If you're a journal regular, expect some shit aimed at you. If this offends you, don't read it. Of course, I won't name anyone, but if you have half a brain, you'll get it.

On today's episode of "Oops! I Said It Again!", we explore the not-so-secret life of quick comments!
Case one: "people with the long Quick Comments... geeze if youre going to write so much, you should leave an opinion.. cause your comments are deffinately not "Quick""
Way to totally look the gift horse in the mouth. When someone takes the time to offer you ANY kind of in-depth thought on your videos, you should be THANKFUL. Instead of being an ungrateful bitch, accept that someone took the time to care about you. Just because you don't have some stupid numbers attached to your damn comments, doesn't make them any worse than an opinion. Hell, I'd be willing to bet that I wrote a fuck of a lot more than most of your opinioners! AND I was useful. So, don't bitch about it and just be happy that you got any comments at all.
Case two: "If I haven't learned anything, how come there's a shitload of people that like what I do? Besides, AMVs aren't a profession, they're a hobby! "
Accept the fact that your videos FUCKING SUCK. 100 later, you should have improved. Just because a few random n00bs stroke your ego (and your cock, apparently), doesn't mean that you make good videos. Try actually putting some time and effort into your work. My cat could shit out a better video than you could ever produce at this point. Also, it's absolutely hilarious how when someone is praised, they always say: "I love making AMVs! I work and work to get better each time! ^_^" However, if the video is insulted, they always say: "well, it's just a hobby!" Quit using that as your damn crutch, you lazy fucker.

First off, FOR FUCK'S SAKE, LEARN TO SPELL!!!! It's a damn good thing that I'm learning to become a translator, because God knows that they'll be transcribing your unique language for years to come. You bring a bizarre irony to your entry title - for that, I laugh at you. About the entry...you know, if you want people to give you quick comments at all, how about NOT insulting them, eh? Did it not occur to you that maybe one of your comments would come from a relative journal regular? I doubt it, being the rather crude person you are. As for the other comments, I have a couple of FYI's for you, buddy. 1. I have seen Fruits Basket. I OWN it. I have watched it MANY times. 2. I did read - pardon, "decipher" - your comments. You said it was about Kyou's love for Tohru. I said that you didn't portray that well. Where was the confusion? 3. Do you have any idea how misleading it is to randomly insert "idiot" followed sometime later by a "lol"? I had a hard time telling if I was being insulted or being made to laugh at a joke. Don't be a prick next time. Those comments were completely constructive. You are not a perfect AMV maker, and if you can't take criticism, don't upload your videos.
Moral of the Story: If you're going to whine about my quick comments, just wait 'til opinion time comes! It'll be like getting coal for Christmas! In short, you've essentially blown your chances of getting full opinions from me.

Seventy fifth entry - Glove'd yet again...

Well, it's still cold in my room, so I'm still wearing gloves...and typing, somehow.
I did edit today, but not on my current video. I need to brush up (aka: learn for the first time >_>) on my technical stuff, so I'm making a thirty second video and playing around with conversion and whatnot. Despite the shortness, I'm still treating this like any other music video of mine, and I'm putting in full effort. Of course, this means that I've only managed to finish ten seconds of it, but whatever. I'm very patient, especially when it comes to editing.
Haven't written anything on my fanfic...the ideas aren't quite flowing the way they should right now. It sounds strange, but I actually write much better when I'm at home. Maybe it's because that's where I started writing that story. I'm visiting this weekend, so maybe I'll be able to finish this chapter then. It would be awesome if I could. The last chapter is all downhill after that.
Well, I have early classes tomorrow, so I'll be off now. I guess my journal has been pretty boring lately. So has my life, not surprisingly. I'll try to think of an interesting story to tell next time - yeah, right.

Seventy fourth entry - GLOVE'd!

You know what's weird? Typing with fuzzy gloves on your hands. Surprisingly, I'm very accurate. It's super cold in my room, so I'm wearing gloves. Seems odd, I know. I'm also covered up with a blanket, but it's not helping my legs much.
I really wish I could join Garylisk's AMV Heaven project. I have tons of ideas like that. Since I write down every idea I come up with, I end up being REALLY prepared for stuff like this. I don't know enough in the technical department to do an MEP, though. In fact, I don't know much of anything. It's a wonder I ever managed to make music videos.
I only have one class tomorrow, but I still don't want to go. I won't skip it, of course, but I'll sure as hell be miserable going to it.
Owwie. My tailbone hurts. I broke it about four years ago, back in my freshman year of high school and it's never been the same since. Sitting on those rock hard metal chairs in band was always murder. Freakin' cheap high school.
The rest of this journal entry will have none of it's spelling or grammatical errors corrected. Why? I think it's funny, that's all. (Keep in mind that I'm typing with gloves on.)
So, I havn'et benn working on my music video at all lately. I shoulb jb be, but I'm not. It just takes too long to poenm the project anymore. i'm only one third of the way through, so that's not really gool if it takes this long now., Still, I'm determined to finih it.
Well, my roomie is getting off of the phone right now, so I should break this off. Too bad, though. I 'm having fun typiung poorly. Besides, I' need to sleep. I have class in twelve hours...which isn't a cool think. Oh well. It's only one class. I can survive that.
