AND COD DAMN IT, WHY IS IT THAT WHENEVER I START A VIDEO, ELEVENTY BILLION OTHER PEOPLE USE THE SAME FUCKING SOURCE AS ME *BEFORE* ME!?
Okay, okay. Breather time. Originality shouldn't be that big of a concern. The source is pretty obscure. But so many of the videos out are really GOOD ones~! I hate feeling like I'm fading in the background just for using a source that has suddenly become oft-used. ;_;

Oh yeah........ a pinhead sized spider made a web between a napkin and my water bottle. It was cute. Until I flicked it into oblivion.
Earlier, I nearly ran into a small spider as it was dangling on a thread in the hall between the wings of the dorm. I avoided the fellow narrowly and let him get back to his work.

Needs WAY more recognition than it has gotten, just because it is pure win. Not having seen Ghost in the Shell, I can't tell how much is effects and how much is natural on that side of things, but what this guy does with Spirits Within is pretty amazing.

Took my math test on Tuesday, and I was frustrated to realize that I am again going to do poorly. I honestly don't know if I'll pass this class now. That really upsets me, because of course going to Spain just HAS to base itself on my running GPA. If I drop down too low, I can't go - which makes no sense. It's my major. I HAVE to go at some point, and they can't keep me from it just because I happen to be bad at math and it brings my grades down.
Japanese also kicked my ass. We've had a week (maybe) to learn the katakana and she insisted on having a quiz on them already. Bitch. I didn't do too hot on that either. Oh, and we had an oral quiz today, and we'll be having some other kind of quiz tomorrow. What is with her?
Finally decided to just stop taking my antibiotics. They don't help anyway, and I'm getting sick of having to plan my meals around taking them - because, as everyone has learned, one pill without food and I'm puking the rest of the day. So I give up. It's not worth the money and not worth the problems they cause if they're just going to do this to me.
Came to a decision on FMV. I'm not happy about it, but it'll definitely do the trick. Gotta finish up a few last things and in a week or two I'll put my plan into action. I thought of more things to add to the FMV 2 guidelines, so I should do that tonight before I forget them. Seriously, by the time I'm done with this, there won't be ANY question on how things are being run. If anyone can ask about something that I can't point to in the guidelines, I'll be surprised.
Okay, so more proof that guys would go crazy over my roommate. She bought one of those generic "hawt fairy" costumes from Hot Topic, and she actually looks really sexy in it. She looks better than the chick on the package. ~_~;; Although, I had to suppress cynical laughter at her getting two right gloves. I'm sorry. I wish bad things on my roommate for reasons that shouldn't even be relevant. I'm a terrible person, I know.
I guess I'll end this here. Don't know what I'll do in the meantime, but I'm sure I'll think of some way to waste my night.

Three hundred eighty third entry - small successes, great disappointments

I decided to try something that I've never tried before. There's a particular effect that I wanted to do for the end of the FMV MEP, but I wasn't sure how to make it. Finally, I just thought to myself that I should try some frame-by-frame editing. Sure, it took a while, but I've got the base layer for the effect I want. Depending on how things go, I may just use this layer alone. Adding on other stuff may prove to be too much onscreen. Also, I got the idea to supplement the end with another clip from a different game.
All in all, if I do this right, it should come out pretty neat.
Meanwhile, I haven't done any editing lately outside of that effect. I have some things that I really ought to be working on, but every time I sit down to do it, my roommate leaves and I'm tempted to do one of the noise-making things I like to do when she's gone - no, not THAT, pervs. I'm talking about videogames mostly. I mean, I have headphones and I DO wear them when she's around, but I just dislike playing games when she's in the room.
On a depressing/frustrating note, it's officially been a full month past the deadline for people's finals for the FMV MEP and I still have a couple of people who have never even shown me a beta. I'm starting to feel like this project is never going to be finished. >_<
Erm... short entry, because I got rather distracted for a while there.

Three hundred eighty second entry - ponderings and work

Time - 11:24, Noise - Tomb Raider: Anniversary OST - "Main Theme"
I heart the music from Tomb Raider: Anniversary and TR Legend. It's grood stuff, although some folks complain that it doesn't have the spirit of the original games. Oh well. Can't please them all.
So, I think I mentioned before that I was introduced to an idea for the ending of Project FMV. Well, I let that idea sit and stew for a while, and today I finally opened up my trusty Photoshop and started doing some frame-by-frame editing. That's pretty insane for me. After a few hours and some forward thinking, I got the first part of an animated sequence finished. The first layer of about... six, as it were. The second layer will take just as long, unfortunately - although maybe not so, since I have a better way of doing it now than when I first started.
I'm positive that I could very easily do this same thing with After Effects or maybe even Flash, but I'm using Photoshop and Magix. Frame-by-frame it is, for better or worse, so help me Cod.
Sorry to say it men, but my faith in your gender has slipped again. It turns out that the reason the guy didn't call any of us about the Anderson Japanese Garden was simply because it was raining. It was fucking *sprinkling*. THAT is why he ditched the whole trip - and I am NEVER going to get the chance to see this place again, I'm sure. The bastard couldn't even make an attempt to call us. No, he just lets us all sit around all day waiting for a call that's never going to come. I was so pissed off at him. It's one thing for him to decide not to go, but there were other people relying on him and he let us down by not letting us know we needed to find a different ride.
Unreliable people. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE them.
O SHI-! Someone just did a speed run of The Little Mermaid. That was the first game I ever played (and beat).

I should take up drawing again. I'm getting better at Photoshop. Maybe it's possible to salvage that lump of crap I call artwork. I dunno, though. It seems like I can alter pre-existing images just fine, but anytime I get near my own artwork, I fail miserably at trying to fix/better it.
Oh, I actually did my math homework tonight. *waits expectantly for a pat on the head* ...but I still haven't done my Japanese. *cowers* Hm... and I think I have some French homework. I'll have to take a gander at the workbook, but maybe not.
"Gander." Does anyone really use that word? -_-;;
Something freaky... a few days ago, they supposedly found a huge pool of blood in a girls' bathroom. They think some chick tried a coathanger abortion. Kind of scary when you think about it. I mean, you have to be awfully desperate and ready to endure pain if you go through with that. But really... there are so many options for dealing with unwanted pregnancy nowadays... there's no reason for a girl to be driven to something that archaic and dangerous. That could do a lot more than kill a baby... it could kill her too! I'm not sure if I feel bad for HER, exactly - but rather, it upsets me that we still have such uneducated girls, even on a college campus. It leads to senseless pain like this.
Alright. It's my bedtime, and I'd like to get myself tucked in now. I have a long day tomorrow (Tuesday always is), but I hope it's good. I could use a really good day...
