  • Thirteenth Entry - A mistake 2005-04-20 17:11:43 Time - 3:58, Noise - Three Doors Down - "Let Me Go"

Why do people hate me? What did I do to make people think that I'm not worthy of their attention?

It's no wonder I've earned a reputation among my classmates as "The Girl Who Hates Everything." When I'm given little more than disrespect, how can I think any other way?

Oddly, I'm also known as one of the most generous and friendly girls around, too. Strange, that.

Do I not smile enough? I don't like smiling, so why should I fake one? For the sake of putting another at ease? Why? When the person doesn't care about me anyway, what's the point of offering that frivolous pleasantry?

I deny nothing of my services when they are called upon. Is my willingness to offer aid not adequate?

    I'm a mistake, it seems.

And, much like Ritsu from Fruits Basket, I apoligize for my very existence.

    How morbid of me.

    Terribly amusing.

Most people in my state would be driven to suicide. Good thing I still have my morals. For all the good those really do me.

I've probably disturbed anyone reading this.

    Terribly amusing.

    And morbid.

    But mostly amusing.

But I didn't smile. Because I hate smiling.

  • Twelfth entry - Eleventh entry - DDR MAX! 2! 2005-04-06 21:31:50 Time - 8:31, Noise - Onesidezero - "Holding Cell"

Yeah, the only reason I'm posting is because I forgot to title my other entry. Howz that for obsessive-compulsive...?
  • 2005-04-06 21:29:34 Time - 7:42, Noise - Lifehouse - "Simon"

Wow, for the first time, I think someone got annoyed with my super-long forum posts. Situation was this: a person was asking for a song suggestion for a Final Fantasy music video. As that is my favorite series of games, I gave a LOT of suggestions. So, one of the other people said, and I quote, "shit, guess you dont need much now that dj_ultima_the_great posted a friggin book." Kind of rude if you ask me. Oh well. I've enjoyed my day too much to take much of anything personally.

Speaking of which, all this week is my high school's "Spring Fever Reliever" week. Thus, each day there have been different dress-up themes and one-period activities. The dress-up stuff sucks now that we got rid of gender bender day, but the activities are entertaining.

Day One: stilt walk, water balloon race, and three-legged race - boring cuz no one wanted to do it.
Day Two: tug-of-war - this one is always fun to watch...especially when the freshman boys are pitted against the senior guys. Talk about wasting the poor freshman. The teachers are supposed to do it as well, but they all chickened out and there were only seven of them that did (three on one side, four on the other). I was kind of disappointed.
Day Three: today. "Dance" Revolution. Morons were too stupid to catch that it is Dance DANCE Revolution. Coming from a small town with few hardcore gamers, my best friend and myself were the only two who were any good at DDR. Being senior girls, we went up first...

(Now, before I continue the story, people should know some things about me first. A) I'm antisocial, B) I'm overweight, C) In gym class, I'm that person that always gets picked last and rarely does anything unless it is one of the activities I'm intersted in - then I pwn teh class in participation. [Yes, random l33t.] Neither I nor my friend have EVER participated in one of the special school activities. Thus, when we readily offered to do DDR, the school was in shock. Everyone cheered. Loud.)

Day Three (continued) : My friend Nicole and I stepped up to the dance pads (XBox version - I own the PS2 version myself), only to realize that they were both cheap, crappy, and defective. Therefore, on a song that I normally get an 'A' on ("My Summer Love" in Standard Mode), I failed completely. Nicole, every bit as good as me (if not better), got a D when she would have gotten an 'A.' The dance pads were THAT bad. Still, when we were doing the steps so perfectly in sync, the viewers were amazed. One of the guys on student council said a drawn-out "hoooooooly cooow" as he watched us. Thankfully, even those who weren't familiar with DDR realized that we had both done the steps perfectly, but the dance pads were our downfall. Then, they had people from other class levels and genders go up and face off. Most didn't have a clue as what to do - one senior boy started breakdancing when he couldn't do the game stuff. ^_^ Finally, one of the people who was sitting near us and had danced started doing the steps in our corner. Then another boy joined in. Then one of my guy friends joined in. Then Nicole joined in. Finally, I said "lemme down there!!!" and danced with them. We had our own line-dancingish group of DDRers. One of the teachers told us that we should go out in front and let everyone watch us in our line. So we did. ^_^ They crowd started cheering. Then, of course, the people on the dance pads had to go off and do nothing but Beginner and Light Mode, so the steps were kind of boring.

Besides the defective equipment, my only other complaint is that it was really humid today, so I was burning up in the gym. Dancing was making it far worse, but it was fun, so I didn't want to stop.

So, to describe it in a roundabout way, I'm happy today. Warm, but happy. Oh, and since Days Four and Five haven't happened, I'm not going to write about those yet. However, tomorrow's event is Brenball - a time-honored tradition in Brodhead High School's history. Basically, it's an obstacle course with soft Nerf balls being shot at people the whole time. Highly entertaining.

Oh, and seniors always win. Always. ^_^

Gotta go now. Much luv to the people who read this. Moderate luv to those who don't.

As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

PS: my computer life is the reason I'm failing sociology. Just thought you'd all like to know that. To know that a normally A student is failing something should brighten someone's day. ~_~
  • Tenth entry - the Judgment Ring hates me 2005-03-26 22:01:41 Time - 8:51, Noise - Frou Frou - "Let Go" (again!)

Short entry this time. Just wanted to say that I did get ahold of Card Captor Sakura and I love it! Sakura's outfits are so cute and the animation is really pretty. I've even come up with an AMV idea already. Heh, heh.

Also, the title of this entry comes from my absolute annoyance at the Judgment Ring in Shadow Hearts (that's an RPG videogame, for those who don't know.) It's a cross between one of those spinners on a board game that you would use in place of dice to determine how many spaces you move on the board and a clock. Except, in this case, when the clock hand moves around, you have to press X over specific areas to perform commands. If you fail to hit the areas, then you fail to perform the command, or you'll do it, but it won't be as strong. Now, I wouldn't mind if this was solely a in-battle thing, but they use the Judgment Ring to determine EVERYTHING in that game! From using items to turning a freakin' CRANK, they make you play that cursed Ring roulette! And don't even get me STARTED on Malice. I'm only a little over two hours in, and I can tell that I'm going to be driven nuts by the Malice meter thinger - which, oddly, is exactly what it is SUPPOSED to do in the game. Weird.

Anyway, I said that this would be short - I lied, I guess. Although, this IS short for ME. So, smeh.

I'm outta here, so I'll check you folks later!

As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

  • Ninth entry - Fuuma is a basketball star! 2005-03-25 15:34:35 Time - 1:17, Noise - Vengaboys - "Cheekah Bow Bow"

Again, another insanely stupid song, but it's funny and I think it would make a hilarious Chobits video. I don't think that Lain would work because it's just too serious. That was my second thought, actually - to use Serial Experiments Lain. My first was to use Satsuki from X - but, again, too serious, and not enough appropriate footage I think with her, either. That sentence sounded very long and backwards, but...okay...

Hey, I just finished Hellsing. Good series. Not one of my favorites, but one that would be worth buying maybe. I still heart Seras, but...well, I won't bother with my complaint because there might be innocent people reading this who haven't seen the series. I'd hate to be the one to spoil everything. Anyway, Seras is cute and that's that. My one question is this: why the heck does she have such a huge rack??? I mean, the poor girl has to be having back problems from that. She's so tiny...why is her chest so HUGE!? Poor Seras and her ginormous rack. *pets Seras*

Anyway, I have to go take a shower now, so I'll quit here.

For Seras's sake, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

PS: the reason for the title is cuz I think that Fuuma being a basketball player is absolutely hilarious - I intend to involve that in an AMV somehow, somewhere. Beware me and my bad humor, folks. Beware.
