  • AMV ideas 2006-05-12 09:37:44 Its hard enough to find a good song.....but I barely have any anime for use anyway!!

    Most of the anime I have is on DVD or some other bull which I don't plan on touching. New stuff I've been watching "Soul Link, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," are widescreen with subtitles. I can't do widescreen AMV's. Other stuff "Fruits Basket" is bad quality, "Azumanga Daioh" is stupid to use, and "Black Cat, Bleach" have been used enough by me.

    Shit! What's a new.......hold up. I got Kanon on my computer........duh!! I dunno. I ain't even watch it yet. Do I feel like doing another love shit?........fuck!! What's the latest good shounen out there?! I'll just look around some more.

    Genestarwind1211 finally posted something in the M.L. AMV Contest after over 2 weeks of inactivity!! Yah!!......crap!! I put out too many AMV's so my Bleach - Raishuu vid is out of the compitition. Whatever. I have alot of faith in my Black Cat AMV. Let the contest begi.....uhh.......commence!! :P

  • Opinions Rant 2006-05-01 14:55:11 It's hard to get opinions from people. Just putting your video out there most likely won't get you an opinion after a week "I was lucky, got a free one" unless you do other stuff like:

    1. Opinion Exchange

    2. Have alot of AMV.org friends

    3. As Jad said: Make a kick ass AMV!!

    For #3, unless your Suberunker, made The Race or Euphoria, your AMV most likely will recieve an opinion once every two weeks at most. Basically, #3 is as hard as shit.

    For #2, that's a piece of BULLSHIT!! WTF?! Friends giving you opinions? Shit, how are they even your friends when you've never met them before. The people that do do this have their friends give them all 10's when they're AMV doesn't deserve it. Getting in the top 10% and shit by that is absolutely gay but I know many who have. THIS....is what pisses me off the most about some people on this site.

    For #1.......that's hard to explain. Yeah, you get opinions, loads of them, lots of feedback and shit.......but still. Alot of the great videos with high opinion ratings never did opinion exchange. Some of them put their vid out like 12 months ago then got 20 freebies outta nowhere over the year and had awesome ratings.

    Opinion exchange in a way is busted cause some people can't give out a 9 unless you used their favorite anime or made an action AMV. Some people give low review because they said they don't like drama.....WTF IS THAT!? Some people give out nearly all 10's because they want the same back to their vid but their vid is obviously shitty or will feel shitty while watching cause you know they are practically begging for a good score.

    Doesn't stop here, some people give out 8's and 9's without really thinking about what they are putting in just to fix their average opinion given scores if they believe its too low or two high. Some faggots "I KNOW ALOT TOO!!" give out really high 9's and 10's then give you a 5 for one section. That is some bull. Their explanation is the usual of: "everything was perfect but the review" or "originality" or "quality was bad so I had to give you a 5. Sorry" Sorry my ass.

    Yeah.....basically opinion exchange will leave you with lower opinion scores than what you could have gotten if you waited 12 months but who wants to wait that long?

    There is one inspirational editor that keeps me doing opinion exchanges though, actually two. Seirra Lorna and Silver Moon. They do opinion exchange and get beautiful ratings. I see them do it often too. You don't see Tyler, istiv, Decoy, Koop and others doing opinion exchanges cause they don't need to. The popularity of their usernames alone means freebies all over the place, but Lorna and Moon get freebies all the time and still have the courage to opinion exchange......I love that.

    So, I'll just keep opinion exchanging with my vids till I achieve my goal. :) 
  • If I Could Rewind "Black Cat" AMV finished :) 2006-04-27 14:52:02 I have just uploaded my latest AMV titled "If I Could Rewind" with the anime Black Cat. I felt this song "Pillar - Rewind" was able to fit the relationship between Train and Saya especially with the fact Saya dies.
